Control Systems. The requirements of Annex 6 shall be applied to the safety aspects of electronic vehicle control systems that provide or form part of the control transmission of the steering function including advanced driver assistance steering systems. However, systems or functions, that use the steering system as the means of achieving a higher level objective, are subject to Annex 6 only insofar as they have a direct effect on the steering system. If such systems are provided, they shall not be deactivated during type approval testing of the steering system.

An automated 1350 system that is designed only for safety is called the Safety Instrumented System (SIS). The integrity of SIS 1351 loops must be designed, operated and maintained within very strict procedures due to inherent criticality of its 1352 safety functions. The standards listed in Section A.5 describe design, validation, verification, commissioning, 1353 operation, maintenance of SIS loops.
Control Systems. 13.1 A single wall mounted controller mounted within the office shall control the off coil temperature of the indoor units to maintain room set point conditions.
