Contract Overtime. The work periods for employees covered by this Agreement shall be as follows. For employees working 5-8 or 4-10 schedules, the work period shall be the fixed and regularly recurring period of seven (7) consecutive twenty four (24)-hour periods beginning with the first shift following the employee’s weekend break. The work period for employees working the forty-seven (47)-hour schedule shall be the fixed and regularly recurring period of eight (8) (or seven (7) in the 5th, 6th or 7th cycle) consecutive twenty four (24)-hour periods beginning with the first shift following the employee’s weekend break.

For employees working an eight-hour shift schedule, approved paid vacation and approved paid sick leave shall count as hours worked towards overtime eligibility..
Contract Overtime is paid for by a third-party and the duration of the assignment is not subject to the minimum hours requirements defined in 1 & 2 above. If the contracting party provides more than 48 hour notice of the overtime and the overtime is made available prior to 48 hours before the assignment, the overtime will be paid at time and one-half. This will be true even if an HPSA Member actually accepts the overtime less than 48 hours before it begins. Should the contracting party fail to provide 48 hours’ notice of their requirement, double time will be charged to the contracting party and paid to the HPSA Member working the overtime.
Contract Overtime. All overtime compensation is calculated at straight time based upon each employee’s regular rate of pay unless one of the exceptions in Section 13.5.1 or 13.5.2 apply. Overtime compensation for these two exceptions is calculated at one and one-half times each employee’s regular rate of pay:

Contract Overtime. Overtime shall be compensated for at the rate of one and one half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay for time worked in excess of the normal full time work day or normal full time work period. All additional overtime hours after twelve (12) hours of work within the twenty-four (24) hour period shall be paid at the rate of double (2x) the nurse’s regular rate of pay, providing the nurse gets overtime authorization and works the scheduled shifts for the remainder of the pay period. The above double time (2x) pay condition shall not apply to (1) low census conditions, (2) double shifts (i.e. two [2] consecutive eight [8] hour shifts) and (3) situations where a nurse has worked more than sixteen (16) hours within a defined twenty-four (24) hour period. Time paid for but not worked shall not count as time worked for purposes of computing overtime pay. Excluding emergency situations, the Employer as a matter of policy shall not reschedule a nurse for extra work because of time off with pay. All overtime must be approved by supervision. The Employer and the Association agree that overtime should be minimized. If in the Employer’s opinion overtime is necessary, volunteers will be sought first and if there are insufficient volunteers, reasonable overtime may be assigned equitably. Overtime will be on the nurse’s assigned unit. The Employer will make a good faith effort to assign overtime hours contiguous with the nurse’s regular shift. Voluntary overtime worked shall count towards mandatory overtime requirements. Overtime shall be computed to the nearest quarter hour. There shall be no pyramiding or duplication of overtime pay or premium pay paid at the rate of time and one half (1 1/2x) or double time (2x). When a nurse is eligible for two (2) or more forms of premium pay and/or overtime pay, the nurse will receive the highest pay rate.‌
Contract Overtime. Time in addition to the required FLSA overtime commitment will be paid at one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay on extended flights when work exceeds the twenty-four (24) hour shift. If a nurse works more than twenty-six (26) hours, all overtime hours worked shall be paid at the rate of double time (2x) the nurse’s regular rate of pay.

  • Payment of Overtime 5.5.1 Subject to the provisions of this sub-clause, all work performed outside of the ordinary hours of any day, Monday to Friday, inclusive, will be paid for at the rate of time and one half for the first 2 hours and double time thereafter. Casual Employees will be entitled to the appropriate all- purpose penalty rates and their 25% casual loading as identified in clause 2.1.2.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • Banked Overtime In the event the day in lieu of working the statutory holiday is not provided as stipulated in 8.01.04, this portion may also be banked.

  • Unscheduled Overtime I. a payment of forty dollars ($40.00) as a meal allowance.

  • Scheduled Overtime Scheduled overtime is overtime which is assigned by the end of the employee's last worked shift prior to the overtime assignment and which does not immediately precede or immediately follow a scheduled work shift. Unless notified otherwise in advance of the scheduled starting time of the scheduled overtime assignment, any employee who is scheduled to report for work and who reports as scheduled shall be assigned at least two (2) hours work. If work is not available, the employee may be excused from duty and paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate. If the employee begins work but is excused from duty before completing two (2) hours of work, the employee shall be paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate.

  • Weekly Overtime An Employee required to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first eight (8) hours of work in excess of the forty (40) hours and double time thereafter.

  • Daily Overtime All employees shall be paid the applicable overtime rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Reasonable Overtime (a) There is a requirement to work reasonable overtime. Subject to that requirement being met, it is not compulsory for an Employee to work overtime in a particular case.

  • WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME Section 1. The normal work week will consist of forty (40) hours. Department management will establish the work week and hours of work best suited to meet the needs of the Department and provide superior service to the community. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee or limitation of the number of hours to be worked per week.

  • Banking of Overtime (i) Tour Workers who work in excess of eight (8) consecutive hours shall have the option of receiving the overtime premium on the basis of this Section or of receiving straight time for hours in excess of eight (8) consecutive hours and taking equivalent time off in units of not less than four (4) hours at the hourly rate for the job when the work was performed, at a time suitable to the employee and the Company during the contract year. Any overtime remaining at the end of the contract year in which it is banked may be carried over to the next contract year for purposes of taking equivalent time off. If equivalent time off is not taken by the end of the contract year following the contract year in which it is earned, the Company shall pay the deferred one-half premium pay. Tour Workers who choose to bank overtime may later re-elect to receive the deferred one-half premium pay.
