Common use of Contract Negotiation Meetings Clause in Contracts

Contract Negotiation Meetings. (1) Where operational requirements permit, the Employer will grant leave without pay to a maximum of six (6) employees for the purpose of attending contract negotiation meetings on behalf of the Alliance. The Employer agrees that while employees are attending contract negotiation meetings, the Employer shall continue any fringe benefit contributions and employees shall continue to earn any applicable credits.

Notwithstandingsubsection (a) where the employee has been granted leave without pay to attend the initial contract negotiation meeting on behalf of the Union, the Employer will grant leave without pay to the employee for all subsequent contract negotiation meetings.
