Contract Employment. (a) Employees appointed for a fixed term shall be advised in writing of the terms of the appointment and such advice shall specify the dates of commencement and termination of employment.
Contract Employment. Retired teachers who are reemployed by the Board shall receive a one year limited contract of employment. Such contracts shall automatically terminate at the end of each school year without further action, notice or procedure by the school district. Continued employment from contract to contract will be solely at the discretion of the Board. A retired teacher reemployed by the Board shall be ineligible for a continuing contract of employment, regardless of years of service with the district.
Contract Employment. In the absence of any other period of notice specified in the contract of service, the provisions of this clause will also apply to fixed term contract employees.

The Town and the S.O.A. recognize the need for Police coverage for certain events, such as concerts, construction sites, retail establishments, etc. The Town shall attempt, if possible, to schedule officers for such events at least one (1) week prior to the need for Police coverage. No contract employment shall take place until all provisions, i.e. written contract, insurance certificate, etc., are complied with.
Contract Employment. (a) It is acknowledged that the Company shall have the right to employ contract labour in the event of emergency, employee sickness or accident or in other circumstances where the situation dictates.

Contract Employment. The EMPLOYER shall maintain authority in negotiating contracts with outside agencies or organizations for the utilization of patrol officers, but the EMPLOYER shall meet and confer with the union representative in matters of contracting for use of union members in outside work.
