Common use of Continuing Liability Clause in Contracts

Continuing Liability. Tenant shall not be relieved of any obligation to be performed by Tenant under this Lease, including the obligation to obtain Landlord’s consent to any other Assignment or Sublease, regardless of whether Landlord consented to any Assignment or Sublease. Any Assignment or Sublease that fails to comply with this Section 18 shall be void and, at the option of Landlord, shall constitute an Event of Default by Tenant under this Lease. The acceptance of Basic Rent or other sums by Landlord from a proposed Transferee shall not constitute Landlord’s consent to such Assignment or Sublease.
