Continuing Education Classes. Continuing Education classes may be scheduled at any time without regard to the limitations in 0104 or 0104.1 but shall be mutually agreed in writing between the College and the faculty member. A copy of the faculty member's approval shall be forwarded to the Association.

Continuing Education Classes. The County shall provide emergency medical service related continuing education classes at no charge to the employees. The topics and frequency shall be scheduled so that employees have adequate opportunity to meet the minimum number and types of classes necessary to maintain required certification. The County will supply employees with required documentation for biannual recertification for all County sponsored programs completed. These documents will contain Medical Director approval; proof of successful completion; date class completed; and assigned number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). If the employee fails to complete the program specified, no CEU credit will be awarded. The Fire Rescue Medical Director will, at his sole discretion, determine the amount of CEU credit awarded for each general in-service and outside programs completed by Paramedics and EMTs. Employees desiring CEU credit for outside programs must submit a written request to the Office of Medical Direction within three (3) work shifts prior to the date of the program. Each request must include the following: (1) course outline or objectives; (2) instructor(s) and sponsoring agency; and
Continuing Education Classes. Payment not to exceed $100 in one school year will be made to a teacher taking Continuing Education Classes. This payment cannot be in addition to the Graduate School Stipend. A receipt and proof of earned credit must be submitted to the Business Manager.
Continuing Education Classes. To be eligible for reimbursement, continuing education classes must be provided by a bar association, company or other organization approved by the employee’s supervisor, on a subject matter that is directly related and relevant to the employee’s current position. A copy of the course syllabus must be provided to the employee’s supervisor in advance for approval.

In addition, whenever the class size of the receiving Special Education teacher exceeds the class size maxim mandated by Special Education class size law and/or regulation, the Xxxxxxxx Formula in AAA Case No. 1139-0696- 85, February 21, 1986, shall be used to calculate the compensation which said teacher shall receive as follows: The rate of pay for said teacher for teaching said additional students shall be computed by multiplying the teacher’s daily gross compensation by a fraction in which the denominator is twenty-six (26) and the numerator is the number of children taught in excess of Article 8-1.1 Item 3 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the parties.

  • Continuing Education Allowance (a) A registered nurse or enrolled nurse who holds a continuing education qualification in a clinical field, in addition to the qualification leading to registration or enrolment, shall be paid an allowance subject to the conditions set out in this clause.

An employee may request special paid leave at straight-time hourly rate which may be granted employees for educational purposes which will benefit the State by adding to or strengthening employee skills or knowledge and to allow employees to attend approved conferences, professional meetings and workshops.

  • Unpaid Educational Leave After one (1) year of continuous employment, permission shall be granted for leave of absence for a maximum of one (1) year without pay for study, without loss of accrued benefits.
