Continental Shifts. During negotiations, the Company and Union discussed continental shifts and weekend worker provisions. The parties agree that if during the terms of this Collective Agreement, the Company requests Continental Shifts or weekend worker language, the parties will meet on these issues and may mutually agree, subject to the membership’s approval. #16 RE: CROSS TRAINING During negotiations, the parties discussed the lack of cross training within the “Production Associate” and “Containment Associate” classifications. The Company is committed to providing training and a fair rotation amongst the employees in the classification, by shift. This will ensure that scheduling of employees will be done on a fair and consistent basis. #17 RE: OVERTIME The Company agrees it will not schedule mandatory overtime on any holiday weekends. If, under unusual circumstances, such as a Statutory Holiday that is only observed in Canada (Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day) and demand from our U.S. Customers warrants it, then the Company reserves the right to revert to mandatory overtime after consultation with the Committee. If mandatory overtime is required on the Canadian Thanksgiving Day weekend, then it will not be mandatory on the Saturday following the American Thanksgiving Day weekend, and if mandatory overtime is required on the Victoria Day weekend, then it will not be mandatory on the American Memorial Day holiday weekend.

  • Split Shifts No shift shall be split for a period longer than the regularly scheduled meal and rest periods as provided for in Article 14.08.

  • Special Shifts When due to conditions beyond the control of the Employer or when contract specifications require that work can only be performed outside the regular day shift, then a special shift, upon three (3) days written notice to the Union may be worked, Monday through Friday at the straight time rate. The starting time of work will be arranged to fit such conditions of work. Such shifts shall consist of eight (8) hours of work for eight (8) hours of pay or ten (10) hours of work for ten (10) hours of pay on a four-ten shift.

  • International Shopping Goods estimated to cost less than $100,000 equivalent per contract may be procured under contracts awarded on the basis of international shopping procedures in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 3.5 and 3.6 of the Guidelines.
