CONSTRUCTION STAKES. Engineer will provide the Contractor with primary horizontal and vertical control to consist of one construction baseline and two benchmarks. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to preserve any and/or all markings and staking. Payment for costs of restaking shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.

CONSTRUCTION STAKES. The Contractor will provide all surveying required to construct this project per controls established on the project drawings and specifications. The general location, alignment, elevation and grade of the Work will be determined by the Contractor who will set such stakes as are necessary to properly xxxx these elements. After contractor completed the staking, the Engineer or its’ agent will inspect the staking. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for detail dimensions and elevations measured from the lines, grades, and elevations so established. No claims will be honored for delay of the job for lack of line and grade if the Contractor has not given the Engineer two (2) days written notice prior to the need for such line and grade. The Engineer may require the Contractor, at the Contractor's expense, to provide such masts, scaffolds, batter boards, straightedges, templates or other devices as may be necessary to facilitate laying out, inspecting and constructing the Work. The Contractor shall exercise proper care in the preservation of all stakes set for his use or for the use of the Engineer, and if such stakes are disturbed, lost or removed by the Contractor's operations, or by the actions of others when stakes are inadequately protected, they will be replaced at the Contractor's earliest convenience, and the cost of resetting may be charged to the Contractor. The Contractor shall protect and preserve all land survey monuments of property corners and precise bench marks along the line of his Work. Public land survey comers are to be cooperatively preserved by the Contractor and the Engineer. When it is necessary to remove or disturb the monument of one of these corners, the Contractor shall notify the Engineer in sufficient time so that it can be properly witnessed and reset by the Engineer. Private property corner monuments (concrete monuments, irons, stakes, etc.) along the Right-of-Way lines, which are disturbed or removed by the Contractor, shall be replaced at the Contractor's expense. The Work shall be done by a Professional Land Surveyor registered in the State of Michigan. Where precise bench marks are disturbed, the County shall reestablish, reset, or replace such precise bench marks, and the cost thereof shall be paid by the Contractor.

  • Construction Staking Contractor shall avoid careless or negligent damage to construction stakes, flags, or marks. If such damage occurs, Contractor shall be required to replace stakes necessary to construc- tion. Contractor’s replacement staking shall be approved by Forest Service. Alternatively, upon Contractor’s request, Contracting Officer may agree to perform such work under E.2.1.8. When A.7 shows that construction stakes are to be set by Forest Service after clearing, Contractor shall submit to Forest Service a written schedule for clearing, construction staking, and construction that will provide Forest Service a reasonable period for setting construction stakes. Time for setting construction stakes may be modified by written agreement. If Forest Service performs construction staking for Specified Roads, timing of such staking shall permit Contrac- tor’s clearing and other construction activity to proceed without hindrance or delay, provided Contractor’s construction activity is reasonably consistent with needs identified in Contractor’s Operating Schedule or amendments thereto. Should Forest Service be unable to perform construction staking in such reasonable period, upon written agree- ment, Contractor shall assume the responsibility for construction staking for agreed upon portions of Specified Roads. In such event, Contracting Officer shall revise:

  • Construction Safety Prior to contract award, the successful bidder must provide a Certificate of Recognition or Letter of Good Standing issued by an occupational health and safety organization approved by the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia.

  • Construction Work The regulation at 41 C.F.R. § 60-1.3 defines “construction work” as the construction, rehabilitation, alteration, conversion, extension, demolition or repair of buildings, highways, or other changes or improvements to real property, including facilities providing utility services. The term also includes the supervision, inspection, and other onsite functions incidental to the actual construction.

  • Construction Completion The related Construction shall have been completed substantially in accordance with the related Plans and Specifications, the related Deed and all Applicable Laws, and such Leased Property shall be ready for occupancy and operation. All fixtures, equipment and other property contemplated under the Plans and Specifications to be incorporated into or installed in such Leased Property shall have been substantially incorporated or installed, free and clear of all Liens except for Permitted Liens.

  • PRODUCTION STANDARDS The Company may establish minimum production standards applicable to Representative.

  • Tenant Improvements Subject to the terms and conditions hereof, Landlord agrees, at its cost and expense to complete a “turnkey” interior build-out (“Tenant Improvements”) of the Leased Premises in accordance with the conditions stated in the Work Letter attached hereto as Exhibit C and incorporated hereby pursuant to the Approved Final Plans to be finalized and approved in accordance with the Work Letter and upon approval attached thereto. Any changes or modifications to the Approved Final Plans thereafter must be done in writing and signed by both Tenant and Landlord in accordance with the Work Letter. So long as in accordance with Article 19 of this Lease, Tenant agrees that Landlord shall be entitled to select, in its reasonable discretion and acting in good faith, all architects, engineers, contractors and material suppliers necessary to furnish the labor and materials for the construction of the Tenant Improvements. Landlord shall be the sole contracting party with respect to the employment of contractors which perform the work necessary to construct the Tenant Improvements. Tenant shall not be entitled to access to the Leased Premises prior to the Date of Substantial Completion and Tenant shall not interfere with or impair in any material way the construction of the Tenant Improvements, and any such interference or impairment shall be included within a Tenant Delay as defined in the Work Letter and shall entitle Landlord to all remedies provided herein for breach of this Lease. Prior to the Possession Date, Tenant shall not enter into any contract for construction of any improvements within the Leased Premises with any person other than Landlord without Landlord's prior written consent. Tenant, at Tenant's expense, shall obtain and maintain any and all necessary permits and licenses to enable Tenant to conduct Tenant’s Permitted Use, and the failure of Tenant to obtain or maintain same shall not in any manner affect the Tenant’s obligations hereunder. Landlord shall be solely responsible, at its cost and expense, for obtaining all permits and approvals related to the Tenant Improvements.

  • Construction Sequencing In general, the sequence of the proposed dates of Initial Operation of Interconnection Customers seeking interconnection to the Transmission System will determine the sequence of construction of Network Upgrades.

  • Construction Commencement The Connecting Transmission Owner shall commence construction of the Connecting Transmission Owner’s Attachment Facilities and System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades for which it is responsible as soon as practicable after the following additional conditions are satisfied:

  • Construction Clearing All timber is designated for cutting that is within the clearing limits of roads constructed hereunder or is in other authorized clearings. All dead or unstable live trees are designated for cutting that are sufficiently tall to reach Purchaser’s landings or the roadbed of Specified and Temporary Roads when Marked in advance of felling of timber in the immediate vicinity. Pieces meeting Utilization Standards from such dead or unstable live trees shall be removed, unless there is agreement that to do so could damage the road. Such designation may be revised as part of agreed changes in road location under B5.2.
