Construction Layout Clause Examples
The Construction Layout clause defines the responsibilities and procedures for establishing and maintaining the physical layout of a construction project. It typically specifies which party is responsible for setting reference points, benchmarks, and ensuring that all structures are built according to the approved plans and site boundaries. For example, the contractor may be required to use precise surveying equipment to mark the locations of foundations and utilities. This clause ensures that the project is constructed accurately and in compliance with design specifications, thereby minimizing errors, disputes, and costly rework due to misplacement or misalignment.
