Construction Business Group. (“CBG”) The Parties agree to meet and confer regarding specifying an employer contribution to the Construction Business Group, a non-profit Joint Labor-Management organization. Construction Business Group’s purpose is to enhance business opportunities and quality of life by insuring fairness, equity and standards of excellence in the construction industry of Wisconsin. To achieve that purpose, CBG works with employers, employees and contracting agencies to ensure fair and responsible public contracting throughout Wisconsin. CBG also works directly with state agencies to ensure laws applicable to the construction industry are properly enforced. CBG works in support of prevailing wage laws, public bidding laws, labor standards and safety regulations on all public construction projects. The Parties will meet and confer to establish a contribution to CBG after working with CBG representatives to ensure that CBG is in the best interests of the Parties to this Agreement.

Construction Business Group. (“CBG”) The Parties agree to specify a contribution to a Labor Management Cooperation Fund (LMCF), with the intent that the contribution will be directed to the Construction Business Group (CBG), a non-profit Joint Labor-Management organization. Both parties will have trustee appointment authority, either directly or by mutual agreement with another organization, on both the LMCF and the CBG. The contribution amount to the LMCF will be 5 cents per hour effective June 1, 2017 and, thereafter, any modifications to such contribution rate shall be based on a services agreement between CBG and the LMCF. CBG's purpose is to enhance business opportunities and quality of life by insuring fairness, equity and standards of excellence in the construction industry of Wisconsin. To achieve that purpose, CBG works with employers, employees and contracting agencies to insure fair and responsible public contracting throughout Wisconsin. CBG also works directly with state agencies to ensure laws applicable to the construction industry are properly enforced. CBG works in support of prevailing wage laws, public bidding laws, labor standards and safety regulations are followed on all public construction projects. The LMC Trustees will monitor the effectiveness of the CBG's efforts on behalf of the Union and signatory contractors, including receiving a report, no less than quarterly, as to the activities and results which advance best interests of the Parties. If the Trustees determine that the Parties’ interests are not appropriately being served, then the Trustees and Parties to this Agreement shall meet and confer regarding an alternate plan to better serve the interests of the Parties.

  • Local Union Business Leave The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence without pay to local bargaining unit members for the purpose of attending Union seminars and/or attending to Union business. The cumulative total leave of absence will be determined locally, but shall not exceed forty (40) days per year per hospital. The amount of notice required and the number of employees who may be absent at any one time and from any one area shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Federation Business Duly authorized representatives of the Federation shall be permitted to transact official Federation business on institutional property at all reasonable times provided there is no disruption to the normal operations of the College.

  • Union Business (a) The Hospital shall grant leave of absence without pay to employees to attend Union conventions, seminars, education classes and other Union business in connection with the administration of the collective agreement provided that such leave will not interfere with the efficient operation of the Hospital. Such leave will not be unreasonably denied. In requesting such leave of absence for an employee or employees, the Union must give at least fourteen (14) days clear notice in writing to the Hospital, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice. The cumulative total leave of absence, the number of employees that may be absent at any one time from any one area, and the number of days of absence shall be negotiated locally and are set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. During such leave of absence, the employee's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital on the basis of what his normal regular hours of work would have been, provided that the Union reimburses the Hospital in the amount of such salary and applicable benefits within thirty (30) days of billing. Notwithstanding the above, time spent by the eight (8) Executive Board members and seven (7) Alternate Executive Board members of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions to fulfill the duties of the position shall be in addition to leave for Union Business under this clause. Part-time and casual employees will be given full credit for seniority purposes for regularly scheduled hours missed in accordance with this provision.

  • Union Business Leave 1. The five members of the Union Negotiating Committee shall be granted leave from duty with full pay for all meetings between the Board, or its representatives, and the Union for the purpose of negotiating the terms of a contract, when such meetings take place at a time when such members are scheduled to be at work.

Failure to provide any subcontractor agreement may also be considered a material breach of this Contract. The Contractor must obtain approval from IDOA before changing the IVBE participation plan submitted in connection with this Contract. The Contractor shall report payments made to IVBE subcontractors under this Contract on a monthly basis. Monthly reports shall be made using the online audit tool, commonly referred to as “Pay Audit.” IVBE subcontractor payments shall also be reported to IDOA as reasonably requested and in a format to be determined by IDOA.

  • TTOCs CONDUCTING UNION BUSINESS 1. Where a TTOC is authorized by the local union or BCTF to conduct union business during the work week, the TTOC shall be paid by the employer according to the collective agreement.

  • Women- and Minority-Owned Businesses (W/MBE) The Subrecipient will use its best efforts to afford small businesses, minority business enterprises, and women’s business enterprises the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in the performance of this contract. As used in this cataract, the terms “small business” means a business that meets the criteria set forth in section 3(a) of the Small Business Act, as amended (15 U.S.C. 632), and “minority and women’s business enterprise” means a business at lease fifty-one (51) percent owned and controlled by minority group members or women. For the purpose of this definition, “minority group members” are Afro- Americans, Spanish-speaking, Spanish surnamed or Spanish-heritage Americans, Asian-Americans and American Indians. The Subrecipient may rely on written representation by businesses regarding their status as minority and female business enterprises in lieu of an independent investigation.

  • Certified and Minority Business Enterprises Reports Upon Customer request, the Contractor shall report to the requesting Customer the Contractor’s spend with certified and other minority business enterprises in the provision of commodities or services related to the Customer’s orders. These reports shall include the period covered, the name, minority code, and Federal Employer Identification Number of each minority business utilized during the period; commodities and services provided by the minority business enterprise, and the amount paid to each minority business enterprise on behalf of the Customer.
