Construction Administration Support. 1. CONSULTANT’s responsibility to provide Construction observation and project administration duties shall commence with the award of the construction contract and shall terminate at the conclusion of the warranty/guarantee periods for the Contractor’s work.

Additional effort and associated fees will be required if the recycled water line is constructed as a separate project by a different contractor on a different schedule.

CONSULTANT shall provide limited Construction observation services and project administration duties commencing with the award of the construction contract and shall terminate at the conclusion of the warranty/guarantee periods for the Contractor’s work. CONSULTANT shall be responsible for the construction observation and managing of the trenchless technology crossing in the project. CONSULTANT services during construction consist of activities requested by the CITY. The CITY shall act as the project construction manager during construction.
Construction Administration Support. Construction Observation/Inspection: CITY staff will provide construction observation, contract administration, and inspection of the sewer rehabilitation. CONSULTANT will not provide construction observation of the sewer rehabilitation except as noted in the Site Visits, below. • Pre-construction Meeting: Two (2) CONSULTANT staff shall attend one 2-hour Project pre-construction conference. CITY staff will run the preconstruction meeting, including preparation of agendas and meeting minutes, as necessary.

Construction Administration Support. The ENGINEER will prepare agendas for Construction Progress Meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes. It is anticipated that meetings will be conducted every two weeks over a 12 month construction period. The ENGINEER will also review monthly pay applications from the CONTRACTOR, consider and negotiate change orders from the CONTRACTOR, and project project management and coordination activities that are sufficient to oversee the CONTRACTOR’s work. On the basis of on-site examination of materials, equipment, and workmanship, The ENGINEER will keep the City informed of the progress of the work, will endeavor to identify defects and deficiencies in such work and may disapprove or reject work failing to conform to the Contract Documents. The ENGINEER will track the construction schedule and prepare progress reports. While performing these duties, The ENGINEER will not be responsible for the acts or omissions of any CONTRACTOR, or subcontractor, or any of the CONTRACTOR' or subcontractor(s)' agents or employees or any other persons (except The ENGINEER' own employees and agents) at the site(s) or otherwise performing any of the Contractor(s)' work; however, this will not release The ENGINEER from liability for failure to properly perform duties in accordance with this scope of services. This task also includes coordination with the City and design team as necessary to discuss and coordinate submittals, RFIs, and other design related matters.
