Authorisation of Authorised Supervisor might take longer than expected. The contractor shall allow in his program, 10 days for the authorized supervisor training and panel interview prior to commencing with the works on site. The contractor’s authorized supervisor would be responsible to carry out duties outlined in the Eskom plant safety regulations. During works, the employer shall do random SHERQ audits. The contractor shall adhere to the agreed schedule, and apply project management principles to avoid delays. No work shall commence without the supervision and or availability of key personnel on site as required by the legislation. The contractor shall carry out the works according to the specifications and designs provided by the Employer. The Contractor’s deployment of key personnel on site shall be strictly in line with the requirements of the Employer’s technical requirement criteria. Normal working hours must be maintained as far as possible. The normal working hours on site will be from 07:30am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday. Should the Contractor wish to work outside these normal working hours, he should notify the Project Manager in writing. The Contractor will only be allowed to work outside the specified hours once the Project Manager has approved the request in writing. All provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993, and any other applicable legislation, must be adhered to.
