Considerations on Review. In considering the review, the Plan Administrator shall take into account all materials and information the claimant submits relating to the claim, without regard to whether such information was submitted or considered in the initial benefit determination. Any review of a decision involving a claim based upon Disability shall not be conducted by an individual(s) who made the adverse benefit determination that is the subject of the appeal, nor the subordinate of such individual(s). If a decision on review of a claim based upon Disability is based upon a medical judgment, a health care professional who has appropriate training and experience in the field of medicine involved in the medical judgment will be consulted.
