Conservation Officers. Employees will be credited with eight (8) hours of compensation for each of the holidays, provided the employee is in a payroll status the scheduled work day preceding the observed holiday and the scheduled work day following the observed holiday.
Conservation Officers. Conservation Officers shall be paid at the overtime rate in cash for hours worked in excess of eighty-six (86) hours in the normal fourteen (14) day calendar work period. Overtime shall be subject to the following conditions:
Conservation Officers. When a permanent vacancy occurs in an assigned patrol area, the Employer will notify the employees by mail of the vacancy and the date specified by which the vacancy will be filled. It shall be the policy of the Employer to select the most senior qualified bidder in the same classification on the basis of their qualifications and ability to satisfactorily perform the duties of the vacant position. Vacancies in the Natural Resources Specialist 2/Conservation Officer classification, however, shall be open to bid by employees in other Natural Resources Specialist/Conservation Officer classifications who have previously served in the Natural Resources Specialist 2/Conservation Officer classification or for other bargaining unit employees that are determined to be qualified by the Employer. In addition, the Appointing Authority may, at its discretion, consider an expression of interest to return to the bargaining unit from an employee occupying an excluded position who has previously served in the Natural Resources Specialist 2/Conservation Officer classification along with the bids of current bargaining unit members. Consideration shall be based on previously served bargaining unit seniority. In the event that the most senior employee requesting the vacancy is not offered the vacancy, that employee shall be notified of the reasons in writing and the reasons shall be discussed with the employee if he/she so requests. At the time it is determined that a vacant position is to be filled, unless otherwise approved by the Appointing Authority, employees shall not be eligible to bid until having served at least one (1) year in the station to which the employee is assigned. The time limits provided in this paragraph shall not apply if the vacancy is created by death. Vacant positions which are to be filled shall be posted for 14 calendar days. Upon the closing of the bidding period, the Appointing Authority shall prepare and disseminate to the bidders a list of the bidders ranked by seniority. Upon request, a copy shall be provided to the President of the Minnesota Conservation Officers Association. The bidders shall notify the Director of Enforcement in writing of their intent to accept the position within sixteen (16) days of the date on which the list of the bidders is published. Conservation Officers. The following conditions shall apply to hours of work for Conservation Officers:
Conservation Officers. Employees shall be eligible to receive a one (1) step progression increase after completing one (1) year of service at each step of their salary range until the maximum rate is attained.
Conservation Officers. The Employer shall furnish each employee such articles of clothing as are specified as part of the uniform valued at four hundred fifty dollars ($450) annually. Officers shall be permitted to carry over the remaining portion of the prior year's allowance, not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500). Proper maintenance of uniforms shall be the employee's responsibility. The Employer has the right to set standards for the color, style, cleanliness and condition of such uniforms. The uniform shall include leather boots, dress shoes, and down-like jackets. The Employer shall provide each employee with a soft-body armored vest. Uniforms shall be issued, worn, and maintained in accordance with standards set by the Employer. The Employer agrees to provide each Conservation Officer who is covered by this Agreement a one hundred fifty dollar ($150) per year allowance for necessary uniform items not furnished by the Employer. The Employer will pay for the initial issue of felt hats, straw hats and any other uniform item that replaces an existing uniform item. The Employer will provide for a direct exchange of straw hats as needed.
Conservation Officers. A. Work Schedules Conservation Officers shall work a non-standard five (5) day work week with two (2) days off. The parties recognize the right of the Employer to establish reasonable guidelines and reporting procedures regarding hours and days worked. The Employer agrees that employees shall be eligible for one (1) weekend per month off during peak activity seasons, provided, however, that employees shall work the three (3) major holiday weekends. These three (3) weekends shall be defined as Memorial Day and the contiguous weekend, Fourth of July and the contiguous weekend, and Labor Day and the contiguous weekend. Nothing herein shall prohibit an employee from taking all or any portion of a major holiday weekend off if mutually agreed upon by both employee and Employer. Employees shall receive two (2) weekends off for every month containing four (4) weekends and three (3) weekends off for every month containing five (5) weekends, during non-peak activity seasons. For Conservation Officers the non- peak activity season shall include at least six (6) months a year as determined by the supervisor.
Conservation Officers. (1) The parties recognize the need to have a flexible work schedule available for employees in the area of conservation enforcement that will aid in providing services that cannot always be predicted accurately in advance. The Employer and the Union agree the following conditions shall apply to those employees performing the duties of the Conservation Officers.
