Connection Method. ‌ Connection methods between IP and the Risk Management Agency are limited to SSL and IPSEC VPN connections. SSL VPN connection is a VPN client solution that establishes connection to RMA’s front-end firewall. Each client requires a credential login with a password to establish the SSL VPN connection. Site-to-site connections will be established with IPSEC VPN configuration with end points at that AIP and RMA’s firewall. Encryption methods will be established at time of creation and be at the highest level available with existing appliances.

Connection Method. The security of the information being retrieved by SERVICE PROVIDER from USAC shall be protected in accordance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014, as amended (“FISMA”) and NIST requirements. The connections at each end must be located within controlled access facilities, guarded twenty-four (24) hours a day. Interconnections utilizing Internet VPN technologies may be terminated on shared infrastructure equipment that is not isolated from the Internet. VPN transmission protocol/internet protocol (“TCP/IP”) traffic to USAC is internet protocol security (“IPSEC”) encrypted using advanced encryption standards (“AES”) 128 encryption or stronger. There may be for a specific system critical seasonality or performance considerations (e.g., a filing window or specific time of the year or day when system performance is expected to be constrained) during when USAC requests the SERVICE PROVIDER to avoid access.

  • Interconnection Customer Provided Services The services provided by Interconnection Customer under this LGIA are set forth in Article 9.6 and Article 13.5.1. Interconnection Customer shall be paid for such services in accordance with Article 11.6.

  • Interconnection Service Interconnection Service allows the Interconnection Customer to connect the Large Generating Facility to the Participating TO’s Transmission System and be eligible to deliver the Large Generating Facility’s output using the available capacity of the CAISO Controlled Grid. To the extent the Interconnection Customer wants to receive Interconnection Service, the Participating TO shall construct facilities identified in Appendices A and C that the Participating TO is responsible to construct. Interconnection Service does not necessarily provide the Interconnection Customer with the capability to physically deliver the output of its Large Generating Facility to any particular load on the CAISO Controlled Grid without incurring congestion costs. In the event of transmission constraints on the CAISO Controlled Grid, the Interconnection Customer's Large Generating Facility shall be subject to the applicable congestion management procedures in the CAISO Tariff in the same manner as all other resources.
