Confined Space Entry. All Contractors performing work involving “Confined Space Entry” must comply with requirements in OSHA 29 CFR and shall be familiar with and comply with CCI confined space entry permit procedures.
Confined Space Entry a) The Joint Health and Safety committee shall review the work areas in the plant to determine those specific work activities they consider hazardous for confined space entry.

Confined Space Entry. D30.1 The Contractor’s attention is drawn to the Province of Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act (“the Act”), and the Regulations and Guidelines there-under pertaining to Confined Entry Work, and in particular the requirements for conducting hazard/risk assessment and providing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Confined Space Entry. The Company will allow the Joint Health and Safety Committee to assist in the development and implementation of a Confined Space Entry policy, which will include training for all appropriate personnel. The Company will allow the Joint Health and Safety Committee to participate in a plant-wide evaluation of manual lifting requirements. The Company will offer in-house Pulmonary function tests to each employee every six (6) months. If the Company fails in its obligation, employees have the right to visit a doctor of their choice and have the Doctor xxxx the Company. The Company will give refresher lift truck training on an annual basis. Emergency Evacuation The Company will hold annual emergency evacuation training and drills on all shifts. Working Alone The Company agrees not to assign employees to work alone. Employees who find themselves in a situation where they are unexpectedly working alone should immediately notify their supervisor, the supervisor in charge or the Personnel Department. In such cases we will assign that employee to other work or they may elect to go home without pay.
Confined Space Entry. Employees working in the classifications of Mechanic, Blacksmith/Welder, Plant Repair Worker, and/or Plant Operator shall be paid a premium of $0.568 per hour for all hours worked where a 'spotter’ or a harness is required to perform the job in a safe manner. A Xxxxxxx, Supervisor or Fire Department employee trained in Confined Space Entry shall establish the requirement and secure the necessary permits. Time shall be calculated with a one-hour minimum, and half-hour increments thereafter.

Confined Space Entry. Entry into confined spaces shall be done using District contractor’s confined space entry program coordinated with the Manager of Maintenance & Operations or a designated agent by the District. There should be agreement on the procedures before entering confined spaces.

Without relieving the Contractor of his responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act the Contractor shall be responsible for the supply of personal protective equipment for the use of the Contract Administrator, in connection with confined space entry while the Contractor is operating on site. The following equipment shall be made available on request: • Mechanical Ventilation Equipment • Gloves • Gas Detector (C95-80) • Full body harness securely attached to a rope • Rope • Gas mask or dust, mist or fume respirator (optional) • 30-minute self-contained breathing apparatus (need not be worn but, if required, be readily available to supply air for instant egress) • 7-minute Escape Pack • Explosion-proof temporary lighting • Adequate clothing to ensure protection against abrasions and contamination. In addition, the Contractor shall provide a competent person who shall inspect all safety equipment prior to use to ensure that it is in good working order and appropriate for the task at hand.
