Conference Leave. Upon written request, supported by a copy of an invitation, an employee shall be granted leave paid at full salary of up to two thirty-fifths of her Appointment Contract(s) to present papers at academic conferences. Such leave shall not be claimed if an authorized exchange of services agreeable to the employee can be arranged.
Conference Leave. (a) A practitioner shall be entitled up to a maximum of 2 weeks paid conference leave, during each year of continuous service. Part time and sessional practitioners shall receive a pro rata entitlement according to their contracted number of hours/sessions.
Conference Leave. A. If, in the opinion of the Superintendent, a convention or conference attendance or the observation of an activity in another school system will contribute to the effectiveness of the instructional program, the Superintendent may grant convention or conference leaves, or permission to observe an activity in another school building or school system to teachers without loss of pay.
Conference Leave. 8.1 Registrars in a recognised vocational training programme who have passed their Part 1 exam or equivalent shall be granted a total of ten days additional leave beyond the provision in clause 7.0 to attend appropriate conferences during their vocational training. Entitled registrars shall have relevant and reasonable costs reimbursed with respect to conference fees, travel, and accommodation related expenses (including meals) with respect to the total conference leave provided for in this clause.
Conference Leave. 13.9.1 Bargaining unit employees may request to attend professional conferences or workshops related to their professional responsibilities by completing required forms. If granted, employees shall receive transportation costs and per diem in addition to release time without loss of pay.
Conference Leave. Upon the request of an employee, the Employer may authorize the employee to attend a conference related to his/her area of assigned responsibility. Application and reimbursement procedures shall be in accordance with Employer policies.
Conference Leave. Subject to the provisions of paragraph 7.01, employees who wish to attend an academic conference that conflicts with their scheduled duties are entitled to be absent in order to attend such conference, provided that adequate arrangements have been made with the Department Chair, through written notice at least three (3) weeks in advance of the absence, to re-schedule assigned duties and student contact hours.
Conference Leave i) A maximum of two thirty-fifths of an appointment contract(s) may be taken as leave under parts ii) and iii) below combined.
