CONDITIONS OF RESIDENCY. The Terms and Conditions of this Agreement shall be governed by, and interpreted, in accordance with English Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. About This Document This document is important as, together with the Resident Admission Agreement (RAA), it is your contract with the Home. Any capitalised terms within this document are to be interpreted as having the same meaning as within the RAA, where the context so requires. You should read it carefully as it is legally binding. You may wish to seek independent legal advice as it is imperative that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions before entering into this agreement. This document sets out our general Terms and Conditions that will apply if you decide to move into the Home. Variation of These Terms and Conditions These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time by the Home to reflect changing circumstances and operational requirements affecting the Home. The circumstances in which the Home may need to amend these terms and conditions without the consent of the Resident or their Representative include: Amendments to give effect to new laws, regulations or guidance that applies to Oakland Primecare Ltd or to the Home. The Home shall consult with the Resident and if applicable, their Representative and shall give not less than four weeks’ written notice of any changes to these Terms and Conditions, after which the amended Terms and Conditions will then apply. If the Resident or Representative objects to any amendments to these Terms and Conditions, the Resident or Representative has the right to give notice to leave the Home in accordance with this Agreement. The acceptance of a person to stay in a care home involves a unique and special relationship and we value the personal quality of this relationship. These Terms and Conditions are intended to protect you and us from any misunderstandings and are for our common benefit. Important Information for Representatives of Residents If you are the Representative of a Resident and sign the RAA on the Resident’s behalf, the Terms and Conditions in this document will apply to you in the same way as they apply to the Resident. Xxxxxx College is not able to monitor either alcohol consumption by residents where it is not hosting the function, or where alcohol which is brought into residence or in private rooms by residents. Persons who are not residents are permitted in Xxxxxx College as guests of residents. Accordingly, residents at Xxxxxx College can expect to occasionally interact with guests during their stay with Xxxxxx College. Given the limited supervision of resident activity at Xxxxxx College, no person under the age of 18 may take up residence without:

If we are required to undertake a deep clean of the rented space after your booking, you accept you will be held liable for the full amount incurred in doing so and will be invoiced for any work undertaken in respect of such cleaning. Ensuring that all equipment, chairs and tables have been returned to their original positions safely, the Premises are cleared of people, all lights switched off, and the rented space secured. Ensuring that any temporary fittings and fixtures comply with Health and Safety guidance, and in particular ensuring that any decorations used are not a fire hazard. Ensuring that any equipment or electrical appliances brought onto the Premises and used there shall be certified safe (XXX Tested) and in good working order and used in a safe manner. Ensuring that no animals (including birds), except assist dogs are brought into the building, without written permission of the management on the occasion of a special event or hire agreed to by the management FIRE REGULATIONS The Hirer shall: Ensure that the “Emergency Exit” signs are kept illuminated and not obscured. Ensure that the Fire Brigade is called to any outbreak of fire, however slight, and details given to the management. Prior to the start of an event indicate the fire exits and Evacuation Meeting Place to the persons attending the event. The Evacuation Meeting Place is outside the rear gates for the back of the building and on the pavement to the front of the building No person may re-enter the building without the permission of the Fire Brigade.
