Concurrent Sick Leave Usage. Except as provided herein, no employee shall be entitled to use accumulated sick leave during any period for which he/she is entitled to receive temporary disability indemnity under Division 4 (Section 3201, et. seq.) of the Labor Code of the State. Any employee entitled to receive such temporary disability indemnity may elect (for a period not to exceed twelve (12) months after he/she first makes such election) to use as much of his/her accumulated sick leave or vacation (sick leave must be used first) as when added to his/her disability indemnity will result in a payment to him/her of not more than his/her full salary.
