Computing Seniority. A. The seniority standing of an employee shall be computed on the basis of the length of his service. His seniority date is his date of hire. When more than one employee is hired on the same date, to establish their seniority position, their names will be placed on the seniority lists in alphabetical order by last name (at the time of hire), then first name, if needed.
