Computing Overtime Clause Examples

The "Computing Overtime" clause defines how overtime hours are calculated and compensated for employees who work beyond their standard working hours. Typically, this clause outlines the threshold at which overtime begins (such as after 40 hours in a workweek) and specifies the rate of pay for overtime hours, often at one and a half times the regular rate. By clearly establishing the rules for overtime calculation and payment, this clause ensures fair compensation for extra work and helps prevent disputes between employers and employees regarding overtime entitlements.
