Compensatory Overtime. Unused compensatory time and previously earned holiday time at the date of death is to be included in the lump sum payment.
Compensatory Overtime. The need for overtime and its assignment will be the decision of an employee’s immediate supervisor. Compensatory time is earned in lieu of paid overtime. Compensatory time for regular full-time employees will be earned at a rate of time and one-half the employee’s straight time hourly rate when the employee works in excess of eight (8) hours a day. The compensatory time provision of eight hours a day will not apply to those employees whose regular assignment exceeds eight hours a day. Vacation time, comp time used, paid holidays, and paid sick leave do not count as time worked for overtime purposes. Work performed on Saturday or Sunday, except when those days are part of the employee’s work week, will be compensated at time and one- half if it is in addition to the 40 hours worked during the week. Any work performed outside the designated work hours must be at the direction of principal or designee. There will be no pyramiding or duplicating of overtime pay. Hours compensated at overtime rates under one provision will be excluded as hours worked in computing overtime pay under any other provision.
Compensatory Overtime. A record of compensatory overtime earned and used shall be maintained on the biweekly pay records. Compensatory overtime shall not be accrued to an employee's credit for any time in excess of 80 hours. The decision to reimburse for overtime hours worked with compensatory time off in lieu of pay will be at the discretion of the employee for the first 40 hours per each fiscal year, but after 40 hours each fiscal year it shall be at the discretion of the supervisor and Appointing Authority based on the employee's request while recognizing the overall department staffing requirements.
Compensatory Overtime. When an employee has worked overtime, such employee may request, and with the approval of their supervisor, be granted time off from work in an amount equal to the overtime hours worked times one and one-half provided the time off from work is scheduled and taken within the same pay period in which the overtime was worked. In that event, the overtime worked will be recorded and paid and the equivalent time off from work will be considered an excused absence without pay.
Compensatory Overtime. SECTION 1: Staff members will receive overtime pay or compensatory time earned only after working forty (40) hours in a work week except when a holiday falls on the employee’s regular shift. Time on pay status for holiday hours shall count as time worked for the purposes of calculating overtime. For the purpose of earning overtime pay or compensatory time, such time must be authorized by the Health Officer or his or her designee, unless unforeseen circumstances prohibit prior approval and such approval is submitted to a supervisor on the following work day.
SECTION 2: Compensatory time will be recorded on the basis of time actually spent working and will be taken on the basis of actual compensatory time off. Non-exempt employees as defined by FLSA or other applicable state or federal law, shall earn compensatory time at one and one half per one hour worked.
SECTION 3: Non-exempt staff members shall receive overtime compensation at the rate of one and one-half (1 & 1/2) times the regular straight time hourly pay rate for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in a work week.
SECTION 4: The Health Officer or supervisor shall notify the staff members of available compensatory time or overtime as far in advance as is possible. The Health Officer shall first attempt to offer compensatory time or overtime to the staff member who customarily performs the kind of work required, and the most senior staff member in that category shall have the right of first refusal, with the next senior staff member being offered the compensatory time or overtime and so on.
SECTION 5: Job related travel may be authorized, as needed, in the conduct of departmental business. If such travel is scheduled for other than the staff member’s typical work day or work week, this time will be considered as flexible work hours and the staff members’ work schedule modified appropriately. Mode of travel and travel time will be based on consideration of the most cost effective means of travel, as well as the current driving and weather conditions, and will be mutually agreed on by the supervisor and staff member involved. In the event that automobile travel is chosen over air travel by the staff member for personal reasons, time away from the job for automobile travel, insofar as it exceeds the time required for air travel may be

Compensatory Overtime. 16.01 Compensatory Time
(a) Any time worked beyond thirty-five (35) hours per week (forty (40) hours per week for Group Home/Residential Workers) require prior Team Leader approval and will be considered compensatory time on an hour for hour basis. Compensatory Time worked beyond forty-four (44) hours per week will be compensated for at one and one-half (1½) hour for each hour worked in excess of forty-four (44) hours.
(b) When a total of twenty-one (21) compensatory hours (Group Home/Residential twenty-four (24) hours) are reached the employee and Team Leader must develop a plan concerning when and how this time is going to be taken. In any event, the plan should attempt to limit the compensatory hours to no more than thirty-five (35) hours. In the event that the Team Leader and employee can not reach an agreed plan the Team Leader will schedule the required time off to be in compliance with the above.
(c) Lieu time in excess of thirty-five (35) hours shall be taken before the end of the calendar year in which the lieu time was accumulated. Lieu time in excess of thirty- five (35) hours not taken as outlined above may be paid out before the end of each calendar year at the discretion of the Executive Director. Total aggregate payment across the Agency will not exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) per year.
16.02 Approved compensatory time will be paid in cash only in the event of an employee’s termination of employment.

11-10 Time off from work under this Section shall not affect the accrual of vacation as provided in Article 26 (Vacations), nor shall a request for such time off be arbitrarily denied. (See Memorandum of Understanding-2)
Compensatory Overtime. Section 1. Employees covered under premium pay provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) whose rate of basic pay is less than the maximum rate of basic pay of GS-10, will not be required to work compensatory time in lieu of overtime. Should an employee elect compensatory time in lieu of overtime and the employee is not allowed to take time off within the prescribed time period set out in DOJ Order 1551.1c, the employee will be paid overtime at the appropriate rate of pay pursuant to law, rule, or regulation.
Section 2. Employees will not be required to take compensatory time during periods that were not requested by the Employee. It is understood that employees must use earned compensatory time by the end of the year following that in which it was earned.
Compensatory Overtime. All compensatory time earned will be at the discretion of the Fire Chief. He will submit a semi-annual report to the Union of those bargaining unit employees who receive compensatory time. This semi-annual report will state the employee’s name, hours, and the reason for compensatory time.
Compensatory Overtime. Compensatory overtime off for overtime in excess of eight (8) hours in one (1) day or forty (40) hours in one (1) week shall be taken within twelve (12) months of the payroll period in which it is earned as scheduled and approved by the im- mediate supervisor.
