Compensation Injury. In case it is necessary for any employee to be absent from work, due to an injury received in the course of employment with the Water Authority, such employee will be granted sick leave with pay in addition to that provided in Section 10.1.1 above to the maximum extent of seven (7) lapsed days, provided that if sick or vacation leave is otherwise available to the injured employee under these regulations, sick leave so granted will be deducted from the available leave due the employee.
