Compensation for Unused Sick Leave Accrual Upon Retirement. Each eligible employee in the department who retires shall be compensated, effective as of the date of his/her retirement, at the rate of one fourth (.25) of his/her daily salary for each day of sick leave accrued to his/her credit as of his/her last day on the active payroll up to a maximum payment equivalent to sixty (60) days’ pay.
