COMPENSATION FOR TRAVEL. ‌ 18.01 When an employee is required by the Employer to travel outside of her/his headquarters area, and such travel is approved by the Employer, her/his method of travel shall be determined by the Employer and she/he shall be compensated in the following manner: a) On a normal working day on which she/he travels only or travels and works, she/he shall receive her/his regular pay for that day. b) On a day of rest or on a paid holiday, the employee shall be paid at the applicable overtime rate provided the total payment for such travel time does not exceed seven (7) hours at the employee's applicable overtime rate, except that if an employee travels and works on a day of rest or on a paid holiday, her/his total compensation for travel and work on each such day shall not exceed seven (7) hours at the applicable overtime rate, exclusive of her/his normal salary entitlement for a paid holiday. 18.02 When an employee is required by the Employer to travel outside her headquarters area, and such travel is approved by the Employer, her method of travel shall be determined by the Employer and she shall be compensated in the following manner: a) On a normal working day on which she/he travels, the employee shall be paid: i) her/his normal pay for the day up to the first seven (7) hours, ii) at the applicable overtime rate for additional work and/or travel time in excess of seven (7) hours period of work and travel, to a maximum payment not to exceed seven (7) hours. b) On a day of rest or on a paid holiday, an employee who travels or who works and travels shall be paid at the applicable overtime rate to a maximum of fourteen (14) hours. 18.03 a) An Employee, who is required to work three (3) or more hours following her scheduled hours of work, shall be reimbursed her expenses for one (1) meal at the amounts specified at the current PSAC meal rate. Reasonable time to be determined by the Employer shall be allowed the Employee in order that she may take a meal break.

Travel Directive shall apply to all travel approved by the Employer. 21.03 For each two (2) nights an employee remains in overnight travel status she shall be entitled to claim the cost of a five (5) minute telephone call to her place of residence.

COMPENSATION FOR TRAVEL. A. If the Official Duty Station and the Alternative Worksite are different, and the two are within reasonable commuting distance, then travel between the Official Duty Station and the Alternative Worksite is considered local travel, and there is no reimbursement for travel expenses. B. If an employee must return to the Official Duty Station on a telework day, mileage is not reimbursed, but the time spent traveling must be credited as work time. C. If a teleworker is directed to travel to the Official Duty Station during his or her regularly scheduled basic tour of duty—for instance, for an unplanned meeting, or an emergency at the Official Duty Station—the teleworker's travel hours must be counted as hours worked.
COMPENSATION FOR TRAVEL. A. Travel time, whenever possible, should be scheduled during an employee’s regularly scheduled tour of duty. It is recognized that in some cases, no amount of planning or scheduling will prevent an employee from being required to travel outside of his or her regularly scheduled tour of duty. B.
