Compensation for Sabbatical Leave. In order to provide maximum flexibility to academic employees when structuring sabbatical leave requests, and to provide the District with assurances that will encourage the provision of funds for sabbaticals, employees may request sabbaticals with up to 90% compensation of base salary, without compensation, or with partial compensation subject to the following provisions:
Compensation for Sabbatical Leave. The remuneration to be received by a certificated employee who has been granted sabbatical leave shall be one-half (½) salary payable if no sabbatical leave were taken. Payment shall be made on a monthly basis unless request is made and approved by the Superintendent for semiannual or annual payments while such leave is in effect. Each person granted a sabbatical leave shall enter into a written agreement setting forth the conditions of the sabbatical leave. The written agreement shall protect the interests of SCOE sufficiently to make it unnecessary for the employee to post a bond.

  • Medical Leave of Absence Where you have a medical leave of absence due to any medically determinable physical or mental impairment that can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than six months, and you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, a Separation from Service has occurred on the earlier of: (A) the first day on which you would not be considered “disabled” under any disability policy of the Company or Affiliate under which you are then receiving a benefit; or (B) the first day on which your medical leave of absence period exceeds 29 months.

  • ’ Compensation Leave If such determination cannot readily be made and all healthcare leave or annual leave subject to 100% payoff has been applied to the absence, the employee shall be placed on Official Leave until a final determination is made.

  • Compensation for Overtime 9.5.1 All overtime hours, except those overtime hours exceeding twelve (12) hours in one day, shall be compensated at a rate of pay equal to time and one-half the regular rate of pay of the employee. Those overtime hours exceeding twelve (12) in one day shall be compensated at a rate of pay equal to two times the regular pay of the employee.

  • Special Leave of Absence Teachers may be granted leaves of absence without pay for one (1) year under the following criteria:
