Compensation for Holidays. Compensation for the holidays listed in Section 11.1 is granted as follows:

Compensation for Holidays. ‌ A full-time employee whose assigned work schedule does not include either the date specific holiday or the observed holiday, shall observe the holiday (and not work) on one of the employee’s regularly scheduled work days during the same pay period as the County observed holiday or during the pay period immediately preceding or following the same pay period as the County observed holiday. All other full-time employees whose regular assigned work schedule includes either the date-specific holiday or the observed holiday shall receive their regular eight (8) hours pay at their base hourly rate of pay.
Compensation for Holidays. Holiday pay shall be equivalent to the number of hours usually worked per day. Unit members shall be entitled to specified holidays and Board-granted holidays with pay, providing the holiday falls during their normal work week and during their assigned work calendar year and they are in paid status during the working day immediately before and/or the working day immediately after the holiday.
Compensation for Holidays. Full-time and part-time employees shall receive holiday pay for all authorized holidays at their current hourly rate, not to exceed eight (8) hours for any one (1) day, provided they are in a pay status for the full day on both their regularly scheduled work days immediately preceding and following the holiday. Part-time employees shall be entitled to receive holiday pay in proportion to their Full-Time Equivalency (FTE). The appointing authority may approve holiday pay when an employee has insufficient sick leave accruals as required to maintain paid status for the full day immediately preceding and following the holiday, provided the employee will use at least twelve (12) hours of sick leave or the maximum numbers of hours required in the coordination of SDI during the pay period that includes the holiday.
Compensation for Holidays. All eligible employees shall receive holiday time for the thirteen (13) holidays provided for in this Article, except as provided in Section B., above, whether or not the holiday is worked. The decision pertaining to the method of payment for the holiday, which can either be paid in straight-time compensatory time off or in actual straight-time pay, shall be at the sole non-grievable discretion of the University.

(F/T) If a paid holiday is observed on an Employee’s scheduled day off and the Employee qualifies but does not work on that day, he/she shall be allowed another day off with pay in accordance with 19.03 at a time agreeable to the Employer and the Employee.
