Compensation for Damages Due to War and Similar Events. 1. Each Party shall accord national and most favored nation treatment to covered investments as regards any measure relating to losses that investments suffer in its territory owing to war or other armed conflict, revolution, state of national emergency, insurrection, civil disturbance, or similar events.

Nationals or companies of either Party whose investments in the territory of the other Party suffer" (a) damages due to war or other armed conflict between such other Party and a third country, or (b) damages due to revolution, state of national emergency, revolt, insurrection, riot or act of terrorism in the territory of such other Party, shall accorded treatment no less favorable than that which such other Party accords to its own nationals or companies and no less favorable than that which it accords to nationals or companies of any third country in matters concerning restitution, indemnification, compensation or other appropriate settlement with respect to such damages.
