COMPENSATING TIME. Compensating time earned by an employee may be accumulated up to two hundred forty (240) hours. Except where operational needs require otherwise, employees shall be entitled to use compensating time at times of their choice. Upon mutual agreement between an employee and an agency and with approval of the Commissioner or a designee, an agency may at any time pay an employee for up to two hundred forty (240) hours of that employee's accumulated compensating time. Such payment shall be made at the employee's hourly rate of pay in effect at the time of payment.

COMPENSATING TIME. The maximum accumulation of compensating time shall not exceed two hundred forty (240) hours. It shall be the employee’s responsibility to ensure that his/her accumulation does not exceed two hundred forty (240) hours. The following procedure shall be used regarding the maximum accumulation of compensating time:

COMPENSATING TIME. Any employee may request compensating time off in lieu of overtime pay for overtime. Overtime voluntarily worked by sworn personnel in dispatch classifications may be taken as overtime pay only. Compensating time off shall be granted at 1.5 hours for each hour of overtime worked. The use of compensating time requires the prior approval of the employee's immediate supervisor. Accumulation of compensating time shall be limited to 160 hours.

If the supervisor, employee and union representative are not able to resolve the matter, the supervisor, employee, union representative & College President or his/her designee will meet to discuss and resolve the issue.
COMPENSATING TIME. Any expected time worked in excess of a nurse’s work schedule (7.02 (i) refers), shall be reported immediately or as soon as possible to the Manager/Director. The nurse can choose to accumulate the excess time in the compensating bank on an hour for hour basis, or work the time into his/her schedule. Note: Unexpected is defined as an unanticipated or unforeseen incident, situation or event that arises that the nurse has not planned into his/her schedule, and does not meet the two (2) weeks advance notice period.
