Compensable Leaves. Each Administrator earns thirteen (13) days each year of sick leave without loss of pay; such leave to accumulate to one hundred eight (180) days. Upon termination of employment, Administrators shall receive: (a) seventy-five percent (75%) of their accumulated sick leave days accrued prior to the 1987-1988 school year; and (b) fifty percent (50%) accrued thereafter. Any unused vacation days shall be compensated at one hundred percent (100%). Rate of compensation is based upon Administrator's final salary as defined in Article XVIII, Section 9. Section 1 - Compensable Leaves (cont’d) Each Administrator shall be granted three (3) personal business days per year with pay. Such leave days shall be used for business or personal obligation, which cannot reasonably be scheduled at a time which does not conflict with the performance of an employee's duties. Administrative employees shall receive other compensable leave privileges at least equal to those provided for the teaching staff. Leave for reasons other than those set forth in this section must be discussed in advance with the Superintendent. Leaves not specifically defined herein will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Compensable Leaves. A variety of leave days is provided by contract. The Organization and the Board expect that the teacher use the leave in the way intended. The balance of sick days, personal leave days, and family illness days will be made available to teachers by the first pay of the contract year via the online payroll system.
Compensable Leaves. 1. Each teacher employed with a teacher’s contract by the School Town of Highland shall be entitled to thirteen (13) days for the transaction of personal business, family illness, or personal illness during each year of such employment.

  • Disaster Leave ‌ When there has been a natural disaster of a magnitude that requires the Board of Supervisors to Proclaim a County State of Emergency, the County will enact this disaster leave provision. During the proclaimed emergency period and for up to one year from the termination of the said proclamation, County employees may donate accrued compensatory time and vacation leave to other County employees who have lost work time because they have been a victim of a disaster affecting their primary residence. For up to one year from the termination of said proclamation, impacted employees may use up to 320 hours of donated leave. Such donated time will not exceed the total amount of time lost by the receiving employee including vacation, compensatory time used and any unpaid leave incurred. Unused donated time at the expiration of the leave provision period will be returned to the donor.

  • Medical Leaves of Absence When recommended by an employee's personal physician in writing, a medical leave of absence for a three (3) month period will be granted by the Sheriff. Such leave may be extended for a like three (3) month period or shorter period, within the sole discretion of the Sheriff, up to a maximum of one (1) year. Such extension, if granted, shall be based upon the written certification by the employee's physician that the continued illness or disability precludes the employee from working and the continuation of the leave of absence is necessary. Such leave, up to a maximum of three (3) months, if granted, will be allowed and credited as continuous county service, i.e. seniority continues for the three (3) months only. The employee shall be entitled to his former position or a position for which he is able and capable of performing upon return to work. A medical leave of absence shall be without pay and other fringe benefits, except an employee may use his accumulated sick leave time and accumulated vacation time to avoid loss of wages during such leave.

  • Medical Leave of Absence Where you have a medical leave of absence due to any medically determinable physical or mental impairment that can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than six months, and you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, a Separation from Service has occurred on the earlier of: (A) the first day on which you would not be considered “disabled” under any disability policy of the Company or Affiliate under which you are then receiving a benefit; or (B) the first day on which your medical leave of absence period exceeds 29 months.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Funeral Leave Section 30.1 In the event of the death of a parent, spouse, child, sister, brother, mother-in- law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent of the Employee or spouse, grandchild of the Employee, or “xxxxxx” or “step” situations within these relationships, the Employee shall be allowed a leave of absence with pay of two (2) consecutive (eight or ten hour) workdays.

  • General Leaves of Absence A. Upon written request from the employee and upon approval of the College President, unpaid leave of absence may be granted to any employee for such things as: (a) illness; (b) family emergency; (c) maternity/paternity; (d) adoption; (e) education; and (f) military leave.
