Compassionate Care Leave of Absence. (2005) An employee may requests a “Compassionate Care Leave of Absence” of up to eight (8) weeks, commensurate and in accordance with Federal Employment Insurance provisions. If said leave of absence is granted, the employee shall be provided with an XXX for this purpose. Furthermore, said Compassionate Care Leave of Absence shall take precedent over any other LOA or an extension of a LOA covering the same period. An employee already on an approved LOA, shall not be required to end his/her LOA to accommodate an employee request for a Compassionate Care Leave of Absence.
