Compassionate Care Family Leave a. Upon request, employees shall be granted a leave of absence of up to eight (8) weeks without pay to care for a family member who is seriously ill. The employee is not required to take the benefit weeks consecutively.

During the leave the Employee will continue to accumulate all benefits and seniority under this Collective Agreement. On return from leave, Employees will be placed in their former position.
