COMPANY RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS. 8.01 The following days are designated Company recognized holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day B.C. Day Family Day plus any other Federal or Provincial holiday as proclaimed. The period of time recognized as the holiday is the twenty-four (24) hour period beginning at 12:01 a.m. on the day which is recognized as the holiday.

COMPANY RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS. 6.01 The Company will recognize the following holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Heritage Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Dominion Day Boxing Day B.C. Day Employees shall be granted one floating statutory holiday per contract year, to be taken within the contract year, in addition to the eleven (11) fixed holidays stated in the Agreement. This holiday will be taken at a time mutually agreed to by the Company and the employee and shall not result in loss of production or overtime for coverage. Each holiday specified above shall be the twenty-four (24) hour period commencing at 7:30 am on the date on which such holiday occurs.

COMPANY RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS. 7.01 It is agreed that the following holidays will be recognized in the Xxxxxx Xxxx Gas Complex: New Year’s Day Labour Day Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday Twelfth holiday (floating) The above holidays will be observed as follows: For shift workers and those day workers who are regularly scheduled to work on Saturday and/or Sunday on the calendar day on which the holiday falls, the Twelfth Holiday (floating) will be observed on a specific Saturday or Sunday mutually agreed upon by the Union and Management. For day workers not regularly scheduled to work on Saturday and/or Sunday on the same day as is designated by Management as the holiday, the Twelfth Holiday (floating) will be observed on a day mutually agreed upon by individual workers and supervisors. For religious observances, an Employee may request that his floating holiday be scheduled on a different date than the annual designated date. Such requests shall not be unreasonably denied. All Employees shall receive holiday pay at their straight time average daily wage rate except when working in a higher paid job classification on the day on which the holiday is observed. In such a case, an Employee will receive holiday pay at the average daily wage rate applicable to that higher paid job classification. However, no Employee will be entitled to holiday pay if:

  • Recognized Holidays Holidays upon which the general prevailing hourly wage rate for Holiday work shall be paid, shall be all holidays in the collective bargaining agreement, applicable to the particular craft, classification, or type of worker employed on the project, which is on file with the Director of Industrial Relations. Whenever any of the holidays listed above fall on Sunday, the succeeding Monday shall be observed as the holiday.   • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid a premium of four and one-quarter (4.25%) per cent for all straight-time hours during the period of part-time employment.

  • Named Holidays 18.01 (a) Regular and Temporary Full-time Employees shall be eligible to receive a day off with pay on or for the following Named Holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Alberta Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day August Civic Holiday and any day proclaimed to be a holiday by:

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • HOLIDAYS The following days are observed as holidays by state agencies in accordance with section 110.117, F.S.: • New Year’s Day • Birthday of Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx., third Monday in January • Memorial Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Veterans’ Day, November 11 • Thanksgiving Day • Friday after Thanksgiving • Christmas Day If any of these holidays falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as a holiday.   • Special Holidays A Special Holiday is a holiday declared a holiday by the University for its employees other than a Saturday, Sunday, General (Statutory) Holiday or day declared by the University to be in lieu of a Statutory Holiday. The rate of pay for the Special Holiday shall be that which the employee would have received if she/he had worked.
