Comp Time. In lieu of payment for overtime hours worked, the employee may request to take compensatory time off. Approval shall be at the discretion of the Department Head. If the request is approved by the Department Head, one and one-half (1 2) hours of compensatory time shall be credited for each overtime hour worked. A maximum accrual of compensatory time shall be forty (40) hours. Flex Time. The County recognizes and supports the concept of Flex time. Flex time is allowed within the work week as it is defined in Article 20, Section 2 of this contract. If an employee requests, an employee and their department head may agree to allow an employee to flex their schedule. However, in some departments and under some circumstances flex time may not be feasible and will not be permitted. No employee shall be required to take flex time off in order to avoid the payment of overtime or as a condition of continued employment.

Comp Time. Each Patrol Officer may accumulate compensatory time instead of payment for overtime (“Comp time”). Comp time will be accumulated at the rate at which overtime is paid (1.5 regular rate, 2 times regular rate for unscheduled holiday hours). No more than 240 hours may be stored in an Officer’s comp time bank at any one time. When an Officer leaves the City employment, the balance of his comp time will be paid to him at the rate specified in Section 7(o)(4) of the Fair Labor Standards Act, or any successor provision then in effect. Once the maximum of 240 hours is reached, all further overtime will be paid. The decision whether to be paid for overtime or to receive comp time is the Patrol Officer’s. Comp time may be scheduled in the same manner as a vacation.
Comp Time. In lieu of accepting overtime pay for hours worked in excess of the normal workday, or in excess of forty (40) hours in one week, an employee may elect to take compensatory time off under the following conditions:
Comp Time. For hours worked in excess of forty (40) in a work week, COMP TIME shall be earned at one and one-half (1½) times the hours worked. When it is used or paid it shall be charged against the employee’s COMP TIME bank hour for hour. Upon cessation of employment, employees shall be paid the unpaid COMP TIME standing in their account at the rate set forth in Section 8.
Comp Time. Comp time shall be in lieu of pay and agreed to by both the employee and the management for any time worked outside of an employee’s regularly scheduled hours. The District will provide a form for tracking and approval. No employee may authorize overtime for themself. If additional hours or overtime is required it must be agreed upon by the employee and supervisor at least four (4) hours in advance before being worked. Comp time shall be accrued hour for hour for hour worked up to forty (40) and for hours worked over forty (40) per week comp time shall be accrued hour for hour and one-half (1 & 1/2) per over time law. Employees may not accrue more than thirty (30) hours of compensatory time. Any compensatory time over thirty (30) hours shall be paid as overtime on the next pay cycle. Comp time shall be tracked by the immediate supervisor and can be used with the approval of the immediate supervisor with adequate notice. Unused comp time will paid out June 30th of each year.
Comp Time a. Career Assessment Members shall be entitled to comp time during the one hundred eighty (180) scheduled school days for up to five (5) days necessary to conduct summer student testing and other activities approved by the Superintendent or designee.

Comp Time. Each employee will have the option of compensation time available to them. The District is responsible for all the record keeping, including sign- up sheets and Excel programs for tracking purposes. Compensation time will be available for cash out purposes a minimum of three times a year, in December, March and June. If compensation time is due to overtime, then it will be given at time and a half. It is the goal of the District to manage compensation time with the lowest impact on the instructional programs.
Comp Time. Upon the Agreement becoming effective, each employee will receive one (1) day of comp time. Then, on January 1, 2015 another additional comp day will be granted for five (5) years of completed service. This will continue for every five years of service thereafter on January 1st. In the event that any employee, during any emergency or call-out, works seven consecutive days, the employee will receive one (1) personal day to be used before June 30th of that year. If said personal day is not used before June 30th of that year, the employee will lose it as with all personal days. Special leave or leave of absence without loss of pay shall be permitted for the following reasons:
Comp Time. Employees scheduled to work above or beyond their assigned contractual duty hours shall be allowed personal time or salary vouchered hours in lieu thereof, as determined by and with the pre-approval of their building principal or site coordinator.
