Community Service Leave Day Sample Clauses

Community Service Leave Day. Employees covered by this Agreement may request and be granted one (1) day of paid community service leave per fiscal year to participate in community service, including volunteer work on behalf of schools, community or charitable organizations, and organized volunteer events. The pay for a full-time employee’s community service day is eight (8) hours. Community service leave is pro-rated for part-time employees based on the employee’s appointment percentage. This leave may also be taken in half-day increments. Employees wishing to engage in community service will provide a written request in advance and may be required to provide proof that the employee participated in the service or event.
