Community Events. It is intended that the community events will be designed by communities and respond to the needs of the former students, their families and those affected by the IRS legacy including the special needs of those communities where Indian Residential Schools were located. Community Events. Franchisee must perform twelve (12) car wash fundraisers, one for each month, for their local community(s) each year. During rainy months Franchisee may substitute one community service project per quarter in lieu of three car wash fundraisers as outlined in the Confidential Operations Manual. All community events are to be performed no further than fifteen (15) miles from any border of their Marketing Area or within their Marketing Area. There are several business plans for community type service projects in the Confidential Operations Manual and Franchisor will help Franchisee with these projects.
Community Events. At the direction of the Agency or SBMWA, Contractor shall 1983 participate in and promote diversion techniques at Community Events and local 1984 activities. Participation includes providing educational and public outreach 1985 information and promotional giveaways in an effort to promote the Agency’s waste 1986 reduction and recycling program goals. Each year the Community Events that 1987 Contractor agrees to participate in shall be outlined in the Three-Year Public 1988 Education Plan described in Section 7.03.B. Attachment C presents a preliminary 1989 list of the Community Events, which may be modified annually through the 1990 development of the Three-Year Public Education Plan, as described in Section 1991 5.08. 1992 D. Notification to Commercial Customers. Immediately upon request from a new or 1993 current Customer for new or changes in service, Contractor shall notify Customer by 1994 phone or email of the Targeted Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials 1995 Collection services offered by Contractor. Such notification shall be made available 1996 in English and Spanish. 1997 E. Targeted Commercial Recycling Promotion. To assist Customers in maximizing 1998 participation in Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials Collection programs, 1999 Contractor shall provide Commercial Customers with on-site waste assessments 2000 based on visual assessment of Collection Containers and technical assistance in 2001 selecting appropriate service levels. In providing such assistance, Contractor shall 2002 follow the Three-Year Recycling Technical Assistance Plan described in Section 2003 7.03.B, which will include details on the type of Commercial Recycling technical 2004 assistance promotion and the number of waste assessments for Customers to be 2005 provided in Agency’s Service Area. For all other Commercial Customers not 2006 specified in the Three-Year Plan, Contractor shall provide technical assistance as 2007 needed or requested and visual on-site Collection Container assessments. 2008 Contractor shall document the names of the Customers receiving the waste 2009 assessments, the date of the assessment, the Solid Waste, Source Separated or 2010 Targeted Recyclable Materials, or Organic Materials service levels at the time of the 2011 assessment, and recommended changes to service level(s). The events requiring Contractor assistance are not limited to the list of Agency-sponsored or other events contained in Attachment C. Participation includes providing educational and public outreach information and promotional giveaways in an effort to promote the Agency’s waste reduction and Recycling program goals.
Community Events. From and after the Event Commencement Date, OVG shall provide City with the rent-free use of the Arena, including the loading dock and associated parking spaces, but not the exclusive use spaces for the Seattle Storm, or, if applicable, resident NHL or NBA tenants, for up to fourteen (14) days per calendar year (each a “Community Event”). Subject to any priority calendar holds by resident NHL or NBA teams, as applicable, Community Events shall include (i) up to six (6) consecutive days during Labor Day weekend for the annual Bumbershoot Festival, including one (1) day immediately preceding the first gated festival day for move-in purposes and until 11:59 p.m. on the day following the last gated festival day for move- out purposes, provided, that for the annual Bumbershoot Festival, the only NHL or NBA priority calendar holds that shall apply are those required by the NHL or NBA to be held and observed by all member franchises, (ii) up to eight (8) consecutive days during an annually recurring time period for the annual four (4) day Seattle/King County Clinic, held over a weekend including two (2) days immediately preceding the clinic and until 11:59 p.m. on the second day following the clinic for move out, and (iii) use of remaining days of the fourteen (14) day allocation, if any, for other Community Events. Community Events, other than the Bumbershoot Festival and the Seattle/King County Clinic, shall occur on days that the Arena is available or can be made available. The Parties acknowledge that a festival event such as the Bumbershoot Festival, while a Community Event, is designed in part to earn a pDRAFT rofit and may compete with the operations or booking opportunities of the Arena. Community Events, other than Bumbershoot and the Seattle/King County Clinic, shall not be designed to earn a profit or otherwise compete with the operations or booking opportunities of the Arena. The Seattle Center Integration Agreement shall contain mutually agreeable terms regarding advance booking, event duration, and provision for event costs, including without limitation City’s self-insurance or procurement of event insurance and provisions for security and trash removal. City and OVG shall enter into a separate rental agreement that shall govern City’s use for Community Events.
Community Events. Section 1. A scheduling sheet will be available to employees to sign up for staff events that are sponsored by the agency. The sheet will list the number of employees that are needed to staff the event in order to ensure that a sufficient number of employees are present to assist with the event. Employees whose job descriptions require them to conduct or staff the events are not required to sign up to staff the event.

Community Events. In response to growing demand to present more community events and celebrations for our residents, Council has developed and endorsed a new Event Approvals Policy. Under the policy, Council has established new processes and procedures to assess and approve outdoor event requests on Council land. The new centralised process will be managed through the Events Team, who will provide advice and support to hirers to ensure they provide a safe and successful event. Hirers wishing to use outdoor open areas (including venue car parks) as part of their Event must contact the Events Approval Officer on 9217 2122.
