Community Engagement. The community engagement process is consistent with the intent of the HRM Community Engagement Strategy. It is possible to refine include requirements in the proposed LUB amendments requested agreement for separate (enter/ exit only) driveways which would be required to meet the Streets By-law (S-300). However, staff advise that the current proposal for a total of 7 units being served by two driveways meeting the applicant requirements of By-law S-300 is appropriate. Accordingly, there is no reason to ensure consistency with place additional restrictions on the MPSdevelopment. A report from the PAC to Community Council will be provided under separate cover.

By-law Respecting Streets. • Reducing the Quinpool Road streetwall to 2 storeys to be approvedmore consistent with other developments in the area and improve pedestrian experience. Staff subsequently worked to refine The development agreement permits a 3 storey streetwall, which staff recommend is appropriate for the proposed LUB amendments requested by the applicant to ensure consistency pedestrian experience and consistent with the MPSpolicy approved by Regional Council; • Including bicycle parking on the main level of parking to aid access and storage. The development agreement does not regulate the location of bicycle parking; • Including lighting along the walkway corridor on Pepperell Street. The building was revised to increase this setback to 1.83 m (6 ft.) and the development agreement requires a landscaped buffer within this setback that includes mixed plantings and shrubs. PAC also recommended a 2 storey streetwall, but a three storey streetwall was determined to better hold the proportion of the building.
