Community Consultation. Resource developers should allow the communities to define themselves and their degree of impact. Especially in indigenous communities, consulting with traditional elders or leaders may be helpful in understanding kin networks and genealogies. However, community self-identification also has some drawbacks namely, that those who define the community are often restricted by those who speak first and loudest, overshadowing more vulnerable groups within the community. For this and other reasons, an inclusive approach to engagement and consultation is considered essential (see below) Changes over time in communities During the exploration phases of their operations in Diavik, in the Northwest Territories of Canada, Rio Tinto engaged repeatedly with the surrounding community, recognising that shifting exploration involves moving into different geographical spaces and bringing new community groups into the equation. Re-engaging with the community over time and as the project changes also helped to ensure that the qualified community remains relevant and properly representative.
Community Consultation. As part of the NHR design review process, CQH is required to work with the Zoning Commission, ANC 8A and 8C and the larger Xxxx 8 community to solicit feedback on building design specifics. Once a timeline for full architectural design of the first building is established, CQH will prepare a date-specific timeline for the Design Review process, which should take approximately 6 months. Community Consultation. FRNSW is a member of the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) Unwanted False Alarm Network that is actively reviewing ways to reduce the proportion of false alarms. Community Consultation. As directed by Regional Council, one afternoon and one evening community consultation session took place at the Prospect Road Community Centre on November 9, 2016. It was noted that many people in the community are from the area and have opted to raise their families in the community. There is a sense of nostalgia with the former park and swimming area.
Community Consultation. The Parties acknowledge that the Developer has met a number of times with representatives of the ANC and local organizations to ensure that the design of the project is one of exemplary architecture. Community Consultation. It is essential to consult the Community in order to fully understand the nature and impact of crime, disorder and drugs; and to identify local people’s concerns and priorities. The Community Safety Strategic Partnership carried wide-ranging consultation with local people to find out what they thought were important crime issues. 4750 consultation questionnaires were distributed across the Borough. The questionnaire was also accessible on our Borough’s website. 4,000 questionnaires were distributed to random addresses in the Borough. The rest were targeted at ‘hard to reach’ groups either via face to face meetings, or by leaving the document in premises used by the ‘hard to reach’ groups. The 641 responses returned reflected the Borough’s diversity. The analysis report from the consultation is also on our website xxx.xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx.xxx.xx . Responses from the consultation showed that: • 68% of all respondents felt threatened by crime in the Borough. • In every area where respondents felt unsafe, the overwhelming concern was antisocial behaviour. • 63% of respondents said that youths congregating made them feel unsafe in the day. After dark it rose to 83%. • Areas where people felt most unsafe were parks, Barking town centre, bus stops and railway stations. • 22% of respondents had been or knew a victim of domestic violence. • 82% of respondents believed that drug use was a problem in the Borough.
Community Consultation. The FDLE and the INS, working together and separately, will continue to engage in community consultations throughout the implementation phase, and results of these consultations will be included in the evaluation of the pilot project.
Community Consultation. During the Agreement Period, the Recipient must develop, implement and update a Community Consultation Plan for the Project which includes the following features: identification of all key stakeholder groups, including local communities that are potentially affected by the Project; an outline of the proposed community consultation processes to be undertaken that includes the following: public notification of meetings; itinerary of meetings to be conducted, groups involved and agenda for meetings; provision of information at meetings and local information sites; documentation of attendees, questions and answers and follow-up issues required arising from meetings; and an outline for stakeholders on how to access the latest information in respect of community consultation matters; an outline of how community consultation activities align with Milestones; a process for maintaining an up-to-date record of complaints and questions arising from community consultations and the responses provided to these complaints and questions; and a process for regularly: monitoring and updating the Community Consultation Plan and the community consultations undertaken; and reporting to the Recipient's internal management, board, Project Participants, joint venture partners (if applicable) and other key groups (whether government or non-government) as required by ARENA to ensure the ongoing improvement of community engagement, and is consistent with relevant industry standards and best practice for this type of project and the types of community consultation to be undertaken. [Note: Clauses 4.5(b) and 4.5(c) will be removed if certification of the Community Consultation Plan is not required for a particular Project.] By the date specified in item 10 of Schedule 1, the Recipient must provide to ARENA certification for the benefit of ARENA from an independent, responsible and qualified person that the Community Consultation Plan is appropriate and consistent with best practice for this type of project and the types of community consultation to be undertaken, and that it is being implemented. The person appointed to provide the certification under clause 4.5(b) must not be an employee, shareholder, director, other officeholder or related entity of the Recipient, a Project Participant or any other person having (or having had) a significant involvement in the Project, the Application, or any Report submitted under this Agreement.
