Community and Professional Service. This shall be activities that are grounded in a faculty Member's special field of knowledge, other contributions to the faculty Member's profession (as provided in Article 33), performance in an extra-academic field, and appropriate contributions to the community at large. These activities are expected for probationary-tenure-track and tenured faculty Members as well as limited term faculty Members in the bargaining unit as specified in Article 35 and who have an employment contract of 8 months or longer. Part-time and limited term faculty Members in the bargaining unit are primarily expected to concentrate on teaching.

Community and Professional Service. The University recognizes the importance of volunteerism and values the time its employees spend in service to UVM and surrounding communities. Volunteer work performed to support the University's mission and enhance community relations is encouraged. We recognize several different types of volunteer service:
Community and Professional Service. The Board recognizes that it is in the best interest of the District that the Superintendent represent the District in civic and professional organizations. The District, as may be mutually agreed between the Superintendent and the Board, shall pay the Superintendent's dues for membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Washington Association of School Administrators and such other professional and civic organizations. In addition, the Superintendent is expected to attend professional meetings at the state and regional level, and national conferences with the Board's prior approval. The District shall pay the reasonable and necessary expenses of such attendance, consistent with District policies. The Board expects the Superintendent to continue her professional development and expects her to participate in relevant learning experiences. In recognition of the Superintendent's civic service as service to the greater community, up to 10 days paid leave per year may be requested for educational purposes and international crisis response team training and response activities.
Community and Professional Service. A. The Board recognizes it is a direct benefit to the District to be represented by the Superintendent with membership and participation in several service, community and professional organizations. Accordingly, the District shall pay the Superintendent's dues for the American Association of School Administrators, Washington Association of School Administrators, the National Association of Secondary School Administrators (NASSP) and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and local service club(s) of choice.

  • Scope of Professional Services 3.1 On the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, COUNTY hereby engages CONTRACTOR to provide all labor, materials and equipment to complete the Project/Service in accordance with the Scope of Services, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Attachment A, as modified or clarified by Addendum(s) # , dated , attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Attachment B. It is understood that the Scope of Services may be modified by change order as the Project/Service progresses, but to be effective and binding, any such change order must be in writing, executed by the parties, and in accordance with the COUNTY’s Purchasing Policies and Procedures. A copy of these policies and procedures shall be made available to the CONTRACTOR upon request.

  • Other Professional Services We will provide you the various implementation-related services itemized in the Investment Summary and described in the Statement of Work.

  • Community Engagement The HSP will engage the community of diverse persons and entities in the area where it provides health services when setting priorities for the delivery of health services and when developing plans for submission to the LHIN including but not limited to CAPS and integration proposals. As part of its community engagement activities, the HSPs will have in place and utilize effective mechanisms for engaging families, caregivers, clients, residents, patients and other individuals who use the services of the HSP, to help inform the HSP plans, including the HSP’s contribution to the establishment and implementation by the LHIN of geographic sub-regions in its local health system.

  • Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services are not permitted to be provided under this Agreement. Texas statutes prohibit the procurement of Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services through a cooperative agreement.
