Committeepersons. (a) In each district employees in the district shall be represented by one Committeeperson or when the Committeeperson is absent from the office a permanent Alternate Committeeperson who in each case shall be a regular employee on the active roll having seniority and working in the district. The Unit President shall notify the Labour Relations Officer Department in writing of the name of the Alternate Committeeperson. The Alternate Committee-person shall function when the Committeeperson is absent from the office. During overtime periods or weekend work the Committeeperson or if the Committeeperson is not working, the permanent Alternate Committeeperson shall be scheduled to work as long as there is work scheduled in the district the Alternate Committeeperson can do and any respective constituents are working. The Committeeperson will be notified of overtime or weekend work as far in advance as the circumstances in each case permit. The Committeeperson will, upon request, be advised of the nature of the scheduled work.
Committeepersons. The Employer agrees that the Stewards shall have the right to have the assistance of a Union representative when dealing with grievances as hereinafter provided.
Committeepersons. The Union shall designate one (1) Bargaining Committeeperson on day shift, one (1) Bargaining Committeeperson on afternoon shift and one (1) Bargaining Committeeperson for midnight shift. If the total plant bargaining unit population exceeds two hundred (200) employees, one (1) Bargaining Committeeperson, designated by the Chairperson, will be considered full-time and be compensated by the Company; in addition, if the total plant bargaining unit population exceeds four hundred (400) employees the Chairperson will designate one of the remaining working Bargaining Committeepersons as full-time on another shift and they will be compensated by the Company; if the total plant bargaining unit population exceeds seven hundred fifty (750) employees the remaining Bargaining Committeeperson will be designated as full-time on the remaining shift and will be compensated by the Company. Compensation will be at the rate of the highest paid production classification or skilled trades rate if holding a skilled trades classification. Committeepersons will be eligible to work overtime based on total overtime hours worked by the plant (Monday thru Friday) multiplied by 0.01 and divided by the current number of full time representatives. To be paid for such hours the representatives must be present in the plant for such hours. The Company will assure that the Union Representatives will be promptly notified of situations requiring his/her presence. Should any of the employment levels outlined above drop below or exceed the numbers specified in this section, full time representatives will be adjusted accordingly. Bank hours not utilized during the normal work week may be utilized on Saturday or Sunday provided the budgeted allotment is not exceeded. Committee hours are to be confirmed and approved by HR.

This time shall be agreed and authorized by a member of Management, this authorization shall not be unreasonably withheld, and will not be abused by the Plant Chairperson or Committeeperson. The Union shall be represented on the day shift by three
Committeepersons. Any committee person who comes in early or stays late for a meeting will be charged the applicable overtime hours for the duration of the meeting. Attendance sheets will be submitted to HR for overtime tracking. Any other employee who is attending a meeting before or after their shift will be charged the applicable overtime hours for the duration of the meeting and the Team Leader / Supervisor / Manager / HR should track hours on overtime canvassing sheet. To assure representation in weekend overtime situations, when ten (10) or more employees are working, if a regular Union Committeeperson is not scheduled to work overtime as part of the regular canvassing process, then four (4) hours will be allotted for Union representation. Such overtime opportunities will be distributed to the members of the Union Committee, as determined by the Union. Such Union Committeeperson will not be part of the regularly scheduled crew but will be assigned other duties by the Company, regardless of classification at their normal applicable rate. Any hours worked by a Committeeperson will be charged accordingly. If no Committeeperson is available for the overtime or there are less than ten (10) employees scheduled to work overtime, the Union will appoint a Union Representative from the employees scheduled to work and notify the Company. The afternoon shift and the midnight shift employees will be represented by Committeeperson in the following manner: TO Employees on a shift warrants one Committeeperson TO Employees warrants another Committeeperson TO etc and increments of employees thereafter will warrant additional representation NOTE '*AFTERNOON AND MIDNIGHT SHIFT REPRESENTATION WILL INCREASE AND DECREASE IN THE MANNER STATED ABOVE. DECREASES OF WILL BE BY THE COMMITTEEPERSON'S PLANT WIDE SENIORITY AT THE TIME OF REDUCTION. In the event that there is weekend work and a Committeeperson is not working, the Plant Chairperson or the Committeeperson shall have the right to appoint one (1) of the employees working as a Committeeperson. The Company will recognize a Union Bargaining Committee of not more than five (5) persons which will be selected from the current Plant Committee at the time of negotiations. This committee will consist of three (3) Committeepersons along with one A Skilled Tradesperson and the Plant Chairperson. The Union will keep the Company advised at all times of duly elected or appointed representatives who will be in writing to the Company by the Union at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the effective date of assuming their representative position, whenever possible. The Company also agrees to supply the Union with a Union office equipped with a telephone, desk, chairs, cabinet, computer and accessories deemed necessary by management. The Union shall not conduct Union activities on Company time or premises, except as herein expressly provided. The Company will provide bulletin boards in a satisfactory location, for the convenience of the Union in posting notices of Recreational, Educational, Social Union meetings and Elections. Committeepersons. In emergency situations of major importance, the chairperson of the Shop Committee may be called in by the Committeeperson at Step 2. It is agreed that the Union will not abuse this privilege and that the Human Resource Department will be notified in advance. Shift Representatives 130 The chairperson of the Shop Committee may appoint three (3) Union representatives to act for the Union in Step 2. These Union representatives shall be second shift or Variable Output V-2 shift employees. No more than one (1) such Union representative shall be selected from one plant. The selected Union representative’s participation shall be limited to Step 2 of the grievance procedure on the second shift or Variable Output V-2 shift. Each of these Union representatives will have a maximum allowable time of four (4) hours per week which will be paid for by the Company. Notwithstanding this maximum time allowance, it is understood that these Union representatives will spend only such time as is reasonably necessary to investigate and present grievances in Step 2. If the Union has a need for a Union representative on the third shift or Capacity WE-1, one (1) employee may be selected to function in the same manner as the second shift or Variable Output V-2 shift Union representatives with the same maximum allowable time. Such employee will refer grievances beyond Step 2 to the chairperson of the Shop Committee.
Committeepersons a. (1) The Company agrees to recognize the Bargaining Committee, which shall consist of not more than nine members which shall include the President of Lodge 912, as the agent or representative for negotiating with Company management. The Union may designate one member of the Bargaining Committee as Chairperson who will be free to contact any Committeeperson concerning grievances.
Committeepersons. The committeepersons and plant chairperson must have been employees of the Company for at least twelve (12) months at the time of their election. The duty of the plant chairperson and committeepersons shall be to represent the employees in the processing of grievances as outlined in the grievance procedure or to handle other employee problems. It is understood that after elections have taken place, the committee will be comprised of one (1) plant chairperson and two (2) committeepersons one of which will be recognized as the union co-chairperson.
