COMMISSIONING CONSULTANT a person or firm engaged by the Authority to provide building commissioning services, including advisory services during design and construction. CONTRACT – this Contract, inclusive of all Attachments, between the Owner and the Owner’s Project Manager; all written amendments to this Contract; and all Approvals issued pursuant to this Contract. CONTRACTOR or GENERAL CONTRACTOR – the person or firm with whom the Owner has contracted to perform the construction for this Project pursuant to the provisions of X.X. x. 149, §§ 44A-44J. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AT RISK or “CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AT RISK SERVICES or CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AT RISK DELIVERY METHOD or CM at RISK DELIVERY METHOD - a construction method described in M.G.L. c. 149A wherein a Construction Management at Risk firm provides a range of preconstruction services and construction management services which may include cost estimation and consultation regarding the design of the building project, the preparation and coordination of bid packages, scheduling, cost control, and value engineering, acting as the general contractor during the construction, detailing the Trade Contractor scope of work, holding the trade contracts and other subcontracts, prequalifying and evaluating Trade Contractors and subcontractors, and providing management and construction services, all at a Guaranteed Maximum Price, which shall represent the maximum amount to be paid by the public agency for the building project, including the cost of the work, the general conditions and the fee payable to the Construction Management at Risk Firm. CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK, CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT at RISK FIRM or CM at RISK – a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, or other legal entity with which the Owner has contracted pursuant to X.X. x. 149A, § 6(e), to provide Construction Management at Risk Services; EXTRA SERVICES – services requested by the Owner to be performed by the Owner’s Project Manager but which are additional (or “extra”) to the services performed as Basic Services.

FINAL COMPLETIONThe work has been completed in accordance with the Construction Contract Documents and the educational specifications, schematic plans and drawings and the Project Funding Agreement approved by the Authority. GENERAL LAWS – the Massachusetts General Laws as amended, including any rules, regulations and administrative procedures implementing said laws. GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS – Documents published by the Authority including regulations and procedures that supplement the tasks of Owner’s Project Managers contracting with Owners for projects receiving any funding from the Authority. NOTICE to PROCEED – the written communication issued by the Owner to the Contractor authorizing him to proceed with the construction contract and establishing the date for commencement of the contract time. OWNER – the entity identified as such on page one of this Contract, or its authorized representative, that is the owner of the property that is the site of the Project and is responsible for administering this Contract. OWNER’S PROJECT MANAGER – the individual, corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, joint stock company, joint venture or other entity identified as such on page one of this Contract performing the professional Project Management Services under this Contract.
COMMISSIONING CONSULTANT. The Designer and its Subconsultants shall collaborate with the Commissioning Consultant to develop design criteria which will support the purposes of building commissioning and energy/resources conservation concepts as commonly understood and as prescribed by the Commissioning Consultant.

  • Building Commissioning Services The Owner may provide as a part of its testing services the Building Commissioning services involving the project’s HVAC and exhaust systems, temperature control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency power and lighting system, fire suppression system, security locks and security locking control systems, food service equipment (if applicable), and laundry equipment (if applicable). In the event the Using Agency’s Program specifies additional commissioning services, the Owner shall procure such services as well. The Owner, through its Executive Administrator, may engage an independent Commissioning Authority. It is the intent of this Article that the Commissioning Authority enforce the requirements mentioned herein and certify that the systems and equipment listed all function properly prior to the initiation of each final inspection.

  • Commissioning Commissioning tests of the Interconnection Customer's installed equipment shall be performed pursuant to applicable codes and standards. If the Interconnection Customer is not proceeding under Section 2.3.2, the Utility must be given at least ten (10) Business Days written notice, or as otherwise mutually agreed to by the Parties, of the tests and may be present to witness the commissioning tests.

  • Design Development Phase Services 3.3.1 Based on the Owner’s approval of the Schematic Design Documents, and on the Owner’s authorization of any adjustments in the Project requirements and the budget for the Cost of the Work, the Architect shall prepare Design Development Documents for the Owner’s approval. The Design Development Documents shall illustrate and describe the development of the approved Schematic Design Documents and shall consist of drawings and other documents including plans, sections, elevations, typical construction details, and diagrammatic layouts of building systems to fix and describe the size and character of the Project as to architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, and other appropriate elements. The Design Development Documents shall also include outline specifications that identify major materials and systems and establish, in general, their quality levels.

  • Engineering Services Definition: Engineering Services includes any service or creative work, the adequate performance of which requires education, training and experience in the application of special knowledge in consulting, investigating, evaluating, planning and designing, engineering principles. Engineering Services covered by the Xxxxxx Architect-Engineers Act (40 U.S.C. 1102) are not covered in the primary scope of OASIS SB. Examples: Service areas that are included under the Engineering Services discipline include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Consulting Services 7. Except as ADB may otherwise agree, and except as set forth in the paragraph below, the Borrower shall apply quality- and cost-based selection for selecting and engaging Consulting Services.

The Consultant shall furnish all services, labor, and related equipment to conduct and complete the work, except as specifically noted otherwise in this Agreement.

  • Synchronisation Commissioning and Commercial Operation 8.1 The Developer shall provide at least forty (40) days advanced preliminary written notice and at least twenty (20) days advanced final written notice to ESCOM of the date on which it intends to synchronize the Power Project to the Grid System.

  • Laboratory Services Covered Services include prescribed diagnostic clinical and anatomic pathological laboratory services and materials when authorized by a Member's PCP and HPN’s Managed Care Program.
