Commencing Work. The Project shall begin only after a contract has been executed, a permit pulled, proof that a Notice to Commence has been filed, and submission of a Contractor’s Certification, County-required affidavits, proof of required insurances and an up-to-date contractor’s license and occupational license.

Commencing Work. The Contractor is obliged commence work on the Project and will continue performing work on the Project effectively and without delays according to the Schedule and Work Schedule until the Termination Date.
Commencing Work. Should the Subcontractor not begin work on the beginning date, the Contractor shall notify the Subcontractor in writing by mail, facsimile or e-mail, that its performance is jeopardizing the Project schedule and that Subcontractor must begin work within three (3) business days from the date of written notification. Should the Subcontractor fail to begin work with appropriate manpower, materials and equipment within three (3) business days of the date of notification, the Contractor may, at his sole discretion, perform the work of the Subcontractor or supplement the Subcontractor’s work force and charge the cost of said performance to the Subcontractor.

  • Starting Work An employee who starts work and is prevented from completing his normal work day shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at his prevailing hourly rate. The employee shall also receive his full accommodation allowance if and when applicable.

  • COMMENCEMENT/EXPIRATION DATE This instrument is executed as of the date of last signature and is effective for five years from that date, at which time it will expire unless extended.

  • Contract Year A twelve (12) month period during the term of the Agreement commencing on the Effective Date and each anniversary thereof.
