Common use of Commencement of Work Clause in Contracts

Commencement of Work. The contractor shall deposit the requisite Security Deposit and also commence the work within seven days after the receipt by him of an order, in writing to this effect from the Company and shall proceed with the same with due expedition and without delay. In case the contractor fails to commence / refuse the work, the Company shall reserve the right to terminate the contract and the xxxxxxx money so deposited by the contractor will be forfeited.
