COMA OF SPECIFIED SEVERITY. A state of unconsciousness with no reaction or response to external stimuli or internal needs. This diagnosis must be supported by evidence of all of the following: • No response to external stimuli continuously for at least 96 hours; • Life support measures are necessary to sustain life; and • Permanent neurological deficit which must be assessed at least 30 days after the onset of the coma. The condition has to be confirmed by a specialist medical practitioner. Coma resulting directly from alcohol or drug abuse is excluded.

  • Liability Calculation Method Per Claim Unless subject to a fixed dollar copayment, the calculation of Member liability on claims for Out-of-Area Covered Health Care Services processed through the BlueCard Program will be based on the lower of the provider’s billed charges or the negotiated price made available to Blue Shield by the Host Blue. Host Blues determine a negotiated price, which is reflected in the terms of each Host Blue’s health care provider contracts. The negotiated price made available to Blue Shield by the Host Blue may be represented by one of the following:

  • Reports of unusual occurrence The Contractor shall, during the Maintenance Period, prior to the close of each day, send to the Authority and the Authority’s Engineer, by facsimile or e- mail, a report stating accidents and unusual occurrences on the Project Highway relating to the safety and security of the Users and Project Highway. A monthly summary of such reports shall also be sent within 3 (three) business days of the closing of month. For the purposes of this Clause 15.4, accidents and unusual occurrences on the Project Highway shall include:
