Column Movement i. An administrator whose qualifications have been determined to qualify him/her to move from one level of preparation to the next higher level (e.g. B-M, M-M+30, etc.) shall be placed on the higher salary scale at the step he/she would have been on as if he/she was initially placed on that preparation level, upon presentation to the Superintendent of satisfactory evidence that the teacher is entitled to the change and upon approval by the Superintendent. Column movement will be implemented following receipt by the Superintendent of such documentation and shall be retroactive to the date that the institution states the work was completed, or retroactive up to 30 days from receipt of such documentation by the Superintendent, whichever is later. Such change may be made at any time if the teacher has notified the Superintendent in writing (or via e-mail) by January 15th of the preceding school year of the expected change and date thereof; otherwise, such change shall be made at the commencement of the next school year.

Column Movement. ● Column movement shall be provided to bargaining unit members provided they have met the criteria as of January 31, 2017. ● The B+12 and B+24 columns represent credits taken after the credits required to possess a teaching certificate. ● The M+15, M+30 and M+45 columns represent credits taken after the confirmation of a Masters degree.
Column Movement. 1. Prior Approval: Consistent with Article 15.1B, all courses must be approved in advance by the Superintendent to qualify for credit toward horizontal salary schedule movement.

By December 1 of the school year preceding the effective date of column movement on the salary guide, each employee shall notify in writing the Superintendent of anticipated column movement for the following school year. Column Movement. Teachers who have satisfactorily completed approved academic courses and who wish to use such additional credits for horizontal movement on the salary schedule shall comply with the notification requirements in 13.1 E. In order to be eligible for horizontal advancement, courses must be included within graduate programs approved by the Superintendent. Normally, graduate programs in the teacher's field from recognized institutions shall be approved, and all graduate level courses which are part of an approved program will be accepted for horizontal advancement on the salary schedule. Teachers will not receive credit for horizontal advancement on the salary schedule based on courses which are not part of an approved graduate program unless the use of such course credits for this purpose is approved by the Superintendent in advance. In no case will any teacher be eligible to advance more than one step horizontally on the salary schedule in any given school year.
Column Movement. Requests for column movement by an eligible Employee must be submitted in writing to the Business Office of the Intermediate Unit prior to July 31 in any year of this Agreement. The request must be accompanied by official college transcripts documenting credit completion.
