Colorado Labor. If the Project is financed in whole or in part by funds of the State or any county, municipality of the State, school district, special district, or other political subdivision of the state, and for which appropriation or expenditure for the Project exceeds $500,000 for any fiscal year pursuant to §§ 8-17-101(2)(b), 24-103-908(1)(a), and 24-92-102(8), Colorado labor shall be employed to perform at least eighty percent (80%) of the work, unless such requirement is waived by the Owner in accordance with Section 8-17-101(1), C.R.S. “Colorado labor” means any person who is a resident of the State at the time of the Project. A “resident of the State” is a person who can provide a valid Colorado driver’s license, a valid State-issued photo identification, or documentation that he or she has resided in Colorado for the last thirty (30) days.

Colorado Labor. Contractor shall employee not less than eighty percent of Colorado labor of each type or class of labor in the several classifications of skilled and common labor to perform the work under this Agreement in accordance with the provisions of C.R.S. §8-17-101 et seq.

Owner shall not impose contractual damages on Contractor for a delay in the Work due to the Owner’s decision to exercise this right.   • Sweatshop Labor If this Agreement provides for the laundering of apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, or for furnishing equipment, materials, or supplies other than for public works, this section is applicable. Contractor certifies that no apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, equipment, materials, or supplies furnished to the JBE under this Agreement have been laundered or produced in whole or in part by sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor, or with the benefit of sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor. Contractor adheres to the Sweatfree Code of Conduct as set forth on the California Department of Industrial Relations website located at xxx.xxx.xx.xxx, and PCC 6108. Contractor agrees to cooperate fully in providing reasonable access to Contractor’s records, documents, agents, and employees, and premises if reasonably required by authorized officials of the Department of Industrial Relations, or the Department of Justice to determine Contractor’s compliance with the requirements under this section and shall provide the same rights of access to the JBE.

  • Day’s Labor Eight hours shall constitute a legal day's work for all classes of employees in this state except those engaged in farm and domestic service unless otherwise provided by law. No laborers, workmen or mechanics in the employ of the Contractor, Subcontractor or other person doing or contracting to do all or part of the work contemplated by the Contract shall be permitted or required to work more than eight hours in any one calendar day or more than five calendar days in any one week except in cases of extraordinary emergency including fire, flood or danger to life or property. “Extraordinary emergency” shall be deemed to include situations in which sufficient laborers, workers and mechanics cannot be employed to carry on public work expeditiously as a result of such restrictions upon the number of hours and days of labor and the immediate commencement or prosecution or completion without undue delay of the public work is necessary in the judgment of the NYS Commissioner of Labor for the preservation of the Contract site or for the protection of the life and limb of the persons using the Contract site.

  • California Labor Code Compliance a. Prevailing Wage laws apply, Subrecipient hereby agrees to pay, or cause its subcontractors to pay, Prevailing Wage rates at all times for all construction, improvements, or modifications to be completed for County under this Contract. Subrecipient herein agrees that Subrecipient shall post, or cause to be posted, a copy of the most current, applicable Prevailing Wage rates at the site where the construction, improvements, or modifications are performed.

  • NOTICE OF LABOR DISPUTES (a) If the Contractor has knowledge that any actual or potential labor dispute is delaying or threatens to delay the timely performance of this Contract, the Contractor immediately shall give notice, including all relevant information, to the Authority.

  • California Labor Code Requirements a. Consultant is aware of the requirements of California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq. and 1770 et seq., which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance of other requirements on certain “public works” and “maintenance” projects (“Prevailing Wage Laws”). If the services are being performed as part of an applicable “public works” or “maintenance” project, as defined by the Prevailing Wage Laws, and if the total compensation is One Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($1,000.00) or more, Consultant agrees to fully comply with such Prevailing Wage Laws. Consultant shall defend, indemnify and hold the City, its officials, officers, employees and agents free and harmless from any claims, liabilities, costs, penalties or interest arising out of any failure or alleged failure to comply with the Prevailing Wage Laws. It shall be mandatory upon the Consultant and all subconsultants to comply with all California Labor Code provisions, which include but are not limited to prevailing wages (Labor Code Sections 1771, 1774 and 1775), employment of apprentices (Labor Code Section 1777.5), certified payroll records (Labor Code Sections 1771.4 and 1776), hours of labor (Labor Code Sections 1813 and 1815) and debarment of contractors and subcontractors (Labor Code Section 1777.1). The requirement to submit certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner under Labor Code section 1771.4 shall not apply to work performed on a public works project that is exempt pursuant to the small project exemption specified in Labor Code Section 1771.4.

  • NOTICE TO BUYER OF LABOR DISPUTES Whenever Seller has knowledge that any actual or potential labor dispute is delaying or threatens to delay the timely performance of this Contract, Seller shall immediately give notice thereof, including all relevant information, to Buyer.

  • Unfair Labor Practice Under MCL 423.324, the State may void any Contract with a Contractor or subcontractor who appears on the Unfair Labor Practice register compiled under MCL 423.322.
