College Committees. 1. In the spring of each academic year, prior to new appointments to standing College committees, the Contract Administration Committee shall meet to review committee effectiveness. Representatives from the classified staff and student leadership shall also be invited to participate in this meeting. It is desirable to have broad representation from both Faculty Members and Administrators on appropriate College committees and to achieve wide dissemination of pertinent information to the College community.

College Committees a. In order to provide effective input, full-time faculty are expected to participate on college committees. Part-time faculty are invited to volunteer their time to participate on committees.
College Committees. The College and the Association agree that College service is a responsibility of all faculty members and are committed to supporting faculty in their efforts to pursue the College’s mission through appropriate College service activities. Such activities may include participation on College committees. To that end the College and the Association agree to the following terms to facilitate faculty participation and minimize the impact on faculty workload.
College Committees. College committee meetings may occur during the regular instructional workday. On days when committee meetings occur during the workday, students may be assigned program activities that do not require immediate faculty supervision, the college may provide substitutes, or classes may be covered by alternative means. Faculty committee assignments will be made by the third Friday of October of each instructional year. Upon consultation and the consensus of affected faculty members, a meeting schedule for each College committee will be published annually. For committees that require a significant investment of time over weeks or months, or a concentrated period of time in a single day, the college will provide a substitute for faculty members involved. A substitute will be provided when committee work exceeds one-half day or more and other appropriate accommodations cannot be made for student learning.

  • Sub-Committees 15.1 The Joint Committee shall establish the membership and terms of reference for any sub-committees or sub-groups which it establishes and may dissolve such sub-committees or sub-groups. Sub-committees to which the Joint Committee delegates functions are bound by the provisions of this Agreement regulating the taking of decisions by the Joint Committee. The Joint Committee may create additional sub-committees from time to time as it sees fit.

  • SCHOOL STAFF COMMITTEES 1. If the majority of the teaching staff in the school so decide, there shall be established a recognized staff committee in that school.

The Parties agree on establishing Committees in the following matters: (a) Trade in Goods; (b) Trade in Services; (c) Investment; (d) Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures; (e) Technical Barriers to Trade; (f) Trade Facilitation; (g) Rules of Origin; and (h) Cooperation, including Intellectual Property. 2. Other sessions of the Committee shall be chaired by the Party hosting the meeting. The sessions may be held by any technological means available to the Parties. 4. When necessary, the Committees created hereby shall consult with such other Committees as needed to address the issues they handle.

  • UNION COMMITTEES Union Committees as provided for in this Agreement, will be of a size that will not unduly curtail production.

  • LABOR/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES Section 1. Labor/Management Committees The parties recognize that the holding of periodic meetings for the exchange of views and information contributes to the effectiveness of the labor/management relationship. Therefore, the parties shall establish Labor/Management Committees (LMC), in accordance with the provisions in this Article, for the purpose of addressing matters of concern in the areas of personnel policies, practices, conditions of employment, and other matters affecting employees. Each LMC will be co-chaired by one member from labor and one member from management.

  • Safety Committees Joint employee-elected and Employer appointed safety committees shall be formed in accord with WISHA requirements and following University of Washington policy. The Union is entitled to representation on the University-wide or specific organizational or divisional committees where bargaining unit employees are working. Any department or unit committee also dealing with health and safety issues in work areas shall appropriately involve bargaining unit employees. Participation in safety and health committees, including meeting time, health and safety research, work on committee assignments, seminars, and classes will be considered time worked for all employees in accordance with University policy. Release time must be arranged with supervisors in advance. When the committee makes a recommendation that requires action or approval beyond its scope of authority, the Employer will communicate its disposition of the formal written recommendation within thirty (30) days.

  • Board Committees The Director hereby agrees to sit in the relevant committees of the Board and to perform all of the duties, services and responsibilities necessary thereunder.

  • COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE (1) Within thirty (30) days of the date of this Agreement, the Board shall appoint a Compliance Committee of at least three (3) directors, of which no more than one (1) shall be an employee or controlling shareholder of the Bank or any of its affiliates (as the term “affiliate” is defined in 12 U.S.C. § 371c(b)(1)), or a family member of any such person. Upon appointment, the names of the members of the Compliance Committee and, in the event of a change of the membership, the name of any new member shall be submitted in writing to the Assistant Deputy Comptroller. The Compliance Committee shall be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the Bank's adherence to the provisions of this Agreement.
