College Advising a. Academic advising for MCC dual credit courses will be the responsibility of the High School Pathways Advisor, currently Xx. Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxxxx, and will occur prior to start date of the relevant semester. The High School Pathways Advisor may directly advise dual credit students or coordinate advising for students through MCC’s Advising & Career Services office.

College Advising a. Dual credit students who adhere to the MCJCD Transfer Block, detailed below, will be permitted to enroll in fifteen (15) college credit hours without a mandatory college advising visit. However, students are encouraged to seek college advising. Students who do not adhere to the Transfer Block or reach the fifteen (15) hour limit will meet with an advisor at least once per semester prior to registration.

College Advising. Beginning Freshmen year through graduation, you will be paired with a ScholarMatch College Advisor who will: Support you in: reviewing your financial aid package, giving tips for speaking with your professors, developing study skills, locating resources on your college campus, picking a major, applying to scholarships, and exploring transfer options (if applicable). Offer support services that includes 1 on 1 counseling via phone, email and in person meetings to help you transition from high school to college, throughout college and onto a career or graduate school. Guide and support you through any obstacles you face in college, whether academic or personal. Manage and disburse the Kayne Scholars financial award including the School Related Expenses Fund, Activity Fund, Loan Savings Plan, Career Development Fund (i.e. travel to/from ANY workshops), and emergency support by request. Maintain communication with America Needs You (Career Development Manager), Recruiting Affiliates (source of the Kayne Scholars nomination) and the Ric & Xxxxxxx Xxxxx Foundation on student progress and accomplishments. Host student events and workshops to get to know other college students and build community.

Related to College Advising

  • Special Services Should the Trust have occasion to request the Adviser to perform services not herein contemplated or to request the Adviser to arrange for the services of others, the Adviser will act for the Trust on behalf of the Fund upon request to the best of its ability, with compensation for the Adviser's services to be agreed upon with respect to each such occasion as it arises.

  • College has the sole right to control and direct the instructional activities of all instructors, including those who are SCHOOL DISTRICT employees.

  • Legal Services If this Agreement is for legal services, this section is applicable. Contractor shall: (i) adhere to legal cost and billing guidelines designated by the JBE; (ii) adhere to litigation plans designated by the JBE, if applicable; (iii) adhere to case phasing of activities designated by the JBE, if applicable; (iv) submit and adhere to legal budgets as designated by the JBE; (v) maintain legal malpractice insurance in an amount not less than the amount designated by the JBE; and (vi) submit to legal bill audits and law firm audits if so requested by the JBE, whether conducted by employees or designees of the JBE or by any legal cost-control provider retained by the JBE for that purpose. Contractor may be required to submit to a legal cost and utilization review as determined by the JBE. If (a) the Contract Amount is greater than $50,000, (b) the legal services are not the legal representation of low- or middle-income persons, in either civil, criminal, or administrative matters, and (c) the legal services are to be performed within California, then Contractor agrees to make a good faith effort to provide a minimum number of hours of pro xxxx legal services, or an equivalent amount of financial contributions to qualified legal services projects and support centers, as defined in section 6213 of the Business and Professions Code, during each year of the Agreement equal to the lesser of either (A) thirty (30) multiplied by the number of full time attorneys in the firm’s offices in California, with the number of hours prorated on an actual day basis for any period of less than a full year or (B) the number of hours equal to ten percent (10%) of the Contract Amount divided by the average billing rate of the firm. Failure to make a good faith effort may be cause for nonrenewal of this Agreement or another judicial branch or other state contract for legal services, and may be taken into account when determining the award of future contracts with a Judicial Branch Entity for legal services.

  • Information Management Information and Records

  • College President The "College President" is the Chief Executive Officer of the College.

  • GENERAL ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT The City Manager of the City, or designee, shall be the City’s representative, and shall oversee and approve all services to be performed, coordinate all communications, and review and approve all invoices, under this Agreement.

  • Financial Services The aim of cooperation shall be to achieve closer common rules and standards in areas including the following:

  • Liaison Each Party shall designate a liaison to facilitate a cooperative working relationship between the Contractor and the Agency in the performance and administration of this Contract.

  • Streets and Municipal Services 4.1 Off-Site Disturbance Any disturbance to existing off-site infrastructure resulting from the development, including but not limited to, streets, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, street trees, landscaped areas and utilities, shall be the responsibility of the Developer, and shall be reinstated, removed, replaced or relocated by the Developer as directed by the Development Officer, in consultation with the Development Engineer.
