Coaching Salaries. Coaches and assistant coaches shall receive pro-rata pay when coaching a student activity whose credit equivalency exceeds three (3) credits. The credits allocated may be distributed over two (2) semesters whenever the actual season of the activity occurs over two (2) semesters. When a student activity has more than one (1) assistant coach assigned, the credit equivalency will be divided between/among coaches to reflect the assignment. Individuals who volunteer to assist during college athletic practices and/or events shall not be identified as coaches or assistant coaches.
Coaching Salaries. A coach shall be placed at the appropriate step on the coaching salary schedule commensurate with his/her years of coaching experience in that sport. Any payment for coaching shall be distinct from and not a part of the professional’s regular established salary and shall be paid in a separate check. Payment for activities which begin and end in one semester shall be paid at the end of the season or the semester, whichever comes first; payment for activities which take place during the second semester shall be paid at the end of the activity or the end of the school year, whichever comes first. An assistant coach who becomes head of a sport for which the professional has held an assistant coaching position shall be placed on the head coach salary step which reflects the next higher step of the professional’s present or past assistant coach’s salary. A professional who directs intramural sports activities shall be given credit on the coaching salary schedule for all his/her prior years in that sport season of intramural experience. In all cases such experience need not be continuous to receive proper credit. Any head coach or assistant coach who engages in playoff competition beyond Metro competition shall be paid one hundred dollars ($100) for each such level (District, Region, State) as approved by the Erie School District. The salary schedule for coaching activities is shown in Appendix 8.
Coaching Salaries. A school district shall pay equal salaries for equal work by coaches of female and male teams, except that differences in pay for coaches of female and male teams may result from a seniority system, a merit system, or a system that measures earnings by quantity and quality of performance. A school district shall develop and utilize written objective criteria in recommending the amount of compensation to be assigned to a particular coaching position.
Coaching Salaries. A. Coaching salaries are based on a point system that takes into account the responsibilities of each coaching position in relation to all other coaching positions. Underlying the point system is the premise that all sports are of equal value to the district, and coaching compensation should be based on the following responsibility factors: time, number of participants, equipment, safety, coordination of coaches, pressure, scouting, and management tasks.
Coaching Salaries a. The Xxxxx-Xxxxxxx/Armour Coaches Salary Schedule will be utilized to determine head and assistant coaching salaries. Coaching contracts will be offered by Xxxxx-Xxxxxxx School District and/or Armour School District. When the coach has completed all responsibilities, the hiring district will follow/utilize payroll procedures to compensate coaches respectively. Coaching Salaries a. Coaching contracts will be offered by TDA-AC/DC school districts. When the coach has completed all responsibilities, the hiring district will follow/utilize payroll procedures to compensate coaches respectively. Coaches salaries will be determined upon mutual agreement of all school districts involved in the hire of coaches.

Coaching Salaries. 14.1. Any individual affected by this schedule or employed pursuant thereto shall serve in such capacity for one (1) year. If the incumbent coach receives a positive recommendation from the Superintendent or designee, the District determines that the position is still needed, and the incumbent coach indicates interest, then the incumbent coach will receive a one (1) year renewal, subject to Board approval. The need to reapply will be re- examined after each season by the Superintendent or his/her designee. No such individual shall acquire tenure or any other form of seniority as a result of such appointment.
