Clothing and Boot Allowance. Prior to January 1st of each year, each employee must elect whether to purchase or rent work clothing. The Town shall pay an amount not to exceed two-hundred dollars ($200) for the purchase or rental of such work clothes/boots. Monies payable pursuant to this section shall be paid to the employee upon presentation of a receipt by the employee to the Town up to the sum as indicated above.

Clothing and Boot Allowance. All members of the Public Works Department who are required to wear a uniform are provided five (5) sets of uniforms per week, and one (1) set of appropriate outer wear. The uniforms consist of a cotton shirt and cotton pants and outer wear will include rain gear, winter coat, coveralls, in safety colors with a City logo, gloves, and rubber boots. An allowance of up to three hundred dollars ($300.00) shall be provided to employees for the purchase or replacement of safety toed climbing boots. Employees shall have to demonstrate wear and tear on the boots and receive approval from the Superintendent or his designee before replacement boots can be purchased. Employees shall also receive an allowance of up to three hundred dollars ($300) per year as an allowance for purchasing replacement safety toed work boots and winter accessories. Replacement winter clothing shall be limited to the following: • Thermal Underwear • Socks • Sweatshirts (no silk screens permitted) • Insulated vest All clothing must be fire resistant cotton, wool, or any other natural fiber that does not promote flame spread. Employees are required to show proof of purchase to the Superintendent or his designee prior to receiving the allowance. For those employees who wear glasses, one (1) pair of prescription of safety glasses will be provided during the term of this Agreement unless additional glasses are necessary because of significant changes in prescription requirements.

  • Safety Footwear Allowance Effective 1/1/07, the Contra Costa Community College District will provide an initial two pairs of safety/protective work boots or shoes for employees in the following classifications: Building Maintenance Worker, Equipment Maintenance Worker, Senior Equipment Maintenance Worker, Maintenance Mechanic, Lead Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Assistant, Ground Worker / Gardener I, II, Senior or Lead, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, and all other mutually agreed upon classifications required to wear safety; protective shoes per OSHA/ASTM standards.

  • Protective Clothing and Equipment The Employer recognizes the safety concerns of all staff and shall provide all employees whose work requires them to wear protective equipment with the necessary equipment and protective clothing. This committee may make recommendations on such equipment (e.g., gloves, long sleeved gowns, masks, goggles). These shall be maintained and replaced, where necessary, at the Employer's expense. Where the committee recommends the wearing of such protective clothing and equipment, and the Employer implements such recommendation, employees are obligated to comply with such recommendation(s).

  • Overtime Meal Allowance ‌ An employee who works two and one-half hours of overtime immediately before or following his/her scheduled hours of work shall receive a meal allowance of seven dollars. One-half hour with pay shall be allowed the employee in order that he/she may take a meal break either at or adjacent to his/her place of work.

  • Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment The Government considers operators as fireline personnel who will use and wear specified articles of personal protective equipment.
